Let’s be honest. You will never get the same level of response from second hand, worn out, tired leads and customers that you will get from your own list of folks who have specifically said they are interested in hearing from you. Whether they signed up to a capture page you created, or they subscribed to you on Twitter, or even if they just befriended you on Facebook, these people have already shown an interest in You.inc. You just can’t get that any other way.

If you want to waste money on buying leads then go right ahead. I guarantee you won’t get past first base with 99% of them. The reason? They don’t know you from Adam. They have no idea of who you are, what you do, and more importantly they have no reason to trust you.

When you build your own list, they get to see that you’re a real person. You get to build a relationship with them long before you try selling them anything.  This is the crucial aspect that so many folks miss out when they start building their list.

They think that once they have the sign up that’s it. Job’s done. And now all that remains is to screw as much money of that person as possible. Wrong!

… the keys are identifying the most likely prospects and then educating and qualifying them before deploying more expensive sales resources. The education benefits the buyer; qualification benefits the seller. This gradual lead cultivation process can go on for months and involve several individuals in evaluating a solution.

Now that’s a pretty long winded explanation from Wikipedia but notice the ‘educating and qualifying’ part? Getting someone to sign up to your list is only the first step in building your list.You’ve got to put in the effort after that to keep them there if you want to see any return on your initial investment in getting them to sign up in the first place.

Bear in mind that not everyone on your list is going to buy from you. A lot of them may never buy from you. But, assuming you treat them right, assuming you make the effort to ‘educate’ them there’s a very good chance they may very well recommend you to their friends, just as you would recommend someone or something to your friends if you thought it would help them.

Let’s not pretend anymore that list building is hard. You don’t really need to go in for all the rubbish that’s being spouted by the so called gurus on all the latest lead generation techniques. And it doesn’t matter whether you’re interested in generating those leads as potential members of your MLM business or as potential customers for your product or service. With that said, will The Video Boss get you more traffic or make you more sales? Hell no. The traffic for his pre-launch videos (amazing content given away in those videos) was driven by the power of his JV partners. Sure, once folks got there, they were sold by the videos Andy had created, but the videos themselves didn’t drive the traffic. They just converted it once it had already arrived. And that traffic arrived by virtue of the power of marketing.

Should You Buy It?

Whether or not you decide to buy Video Boss totally depends on two things.

1. What you hope to gain.
2. Whether you are prepared to learn the art and skill of video production in that much technical detail.

If you’re hoping to gain more traffic and sales, then the Video Boss isn’t going to cut it for you. Like I said, video doesn’t drive traffic. It just helps to convert it once it’s arrived. Notice it ‘helps’ to convert. It isn’t guaranteed any more than a great sales page is. With conversion you have to keep testing different things. Now, can you imagine the technicalities of taking out a piece of video and replacing it with another one? Scary!

As far as number two goes, yours truly (and the vast majority of IM’ers) would never in a million years be able to learn the intricacies of Andy’s course in any reasonable timeframe. Remember he’s been doing this for years and it still takes him a couple of days to create those videos. Your learning curve might be shortened but you can still bank on a few months before you’re anywhere close to creating a video half as good.

The cost of the course shouldn’t put you off. I’m sure it’s worth the cost if you’re sure on the other two reasons for signing up.  In all honesty, there was more than enough information in the free videos to get you creating great looking videos without all the technical mumbo jumbo and any sort of cost.

Video marketing might be huge, but you don’t need Video Boss to take advantage of it. Take a look at the most viewed videos over on YouTube. Nobody really cares about how fancy they are. Some of the most viewed are the least fancy of all.

Marketing is about more than videos. Sorry Andy, but it just is.

No need for a fancy mic, or editing software and no, I’m not trying to pretend that this video is anywhere like any type of video your’e going to create with Video Boss, but it isn’t as time consuming or as costly either. And guess what? That one doesn’t work either. But now, you’re on yet another list. Someone else is managing to build their list of subscribers and the only thing you’re building is a list of subscriptions that can clog up your inbox. Therein lies the difference.

While you’re busy building your list of subscriptions, gurus are busy building lists of subscribers. And as long as you continue doing what you’re doing, nothing is going to change.

I know it’s tough when you’re just starting out to not get sucked in by all the fancy capture pages, with all their promises of instant wealth. Even Mike Dillard is guilty of it with the Magnetic Sponsoring sales page.

That headline actually put me off buying Magnetic Sponsoring for quite a few months, which, in this particular case, was a bad thing. But in every other case, you should run a mile from anything that sounds remotely similar. So, how do they do it? And more importantly, how do you do it?

Capture page

Whether you know how to create your own or you have to pay someone to create one for you, there isn’t any way you can build a list without having a capture page. Note here, I absolutely don’t subscribe to the idea of buying leads, or joining list building programmes that allow you to mail thousands of folks who don’t know you. Leads that you buy have also been sold to at least a few hundred other folks, and the only people recieving emails in list building programmes are people looking to build their own list, not join someone else’s.

If you don’t know how to create your own capture page, check out this post. Jim’s capture page creator is really easy to use, free, and creates professional looking capture pages in literally just a few minutes.

Don’t think that just because you’re not asking for money you’re not selling something. You are. In fact, with the threat from spam and computer viruses, folks are becoming less and less inclined to hand over their email addresses. It’s a huge cost, so what you offer has got to be worth their while.

Selling the Signup

As you may have guessed, I’m not a huge fan of hype. But you do have to ’sell’ whatever it is you’re giving away. If you don’t have a product of your own, then either create one or find one that you can use. Given the choice, you’re much better off creating your own. It’s not as hard as you might think. I created “The Insider Report” while still a total newbie and a technical dunce to boot. (and yeah, I’m still a technical dunce in a lot of areas, lol).

Now how do I sell that report? Simple! Despite the fact that Magnetic Sponsoring has been around for a number of years, that report was not only the first report of it’s kind, it’s still (as far as I know), the only report that gives you the secrets from folks who have since gone on to become some of Mike’s closest business partners. Do you think that if you were interested in Magnetic Sponsoring, you might want to hear about it from folks who’ve bought it and failed to do anything with it? Or would you prefer to find out about it from folks who bought it, and went on to create online fortunes by actually applying the secrets in there?

The Follow Up

I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve said this, but to hell with the duplicate content penalty, I’ll say it again.

The secret to making money is not in the list. The secret to making money is in the relationship you build with that list.

Have you ever replied to any of the folks whose list you’re on? Try it. Next time you get an email from them, hit the reply button and see what happens. Note – DO NOT hit reply just so you can send them some crummy spam. At the end of the day, you signed up to their list, they didn’t sign up to yours!

But shoot them a mail, tell them what you’re up to, what value you got from their product, what help you’re looking for from that product… this is how you build relationships. If they know the secret of building a responsive, loyal subscriber base, you’ll get a personal reply. It might take a few days. Remember, they are running a business and contrary to what you might read about not needing to do any work, most folks actually put in a helluva lot more time than they would care to admit.

I’ve built up some really good friendships from people who signed up to my list and replied to my emails. Those friendships now mean that if any of us have a problem or want something doing, we can help each other out, or if we can’t, between us we probably  know someone who does.

Do  you really think that the gurus of this world know everything and everyone? Trust me, they don’t. Some of them probably know a lot less than you. But they know people who know people who know people…you get the picture.

Lead generation isn’t just about getting a list of subscribers who hopefully might join your business or buy your products. It’s about building relationships with people. People who will then go on to recommend you to their friends (lists) and this is what grows your business. Just like in the real world, a lot of it comes down to ‘who you know’ more so than ‘what you know’.Related Posts:

But affiliate marketing still involves more than just heading over to Clickbank, picking up a product and dropping your affiliate link all over the place. At least it does, if you want to actually earn any money from it.

Finding An Affiliate Product

Ideally, you want to concentrate your efforts on a product that you own. I know this goes against the grain for a lot of affiliate marketers out there, but if you don’t know anything about the product other than what the sales page tells you, you’re really going to have a hard time ’selling’ it to anyone else.

Once you’re more experienced, and know all the tricks of the trade, or you can afford to outsource the work, then you’ll be able to move on and effectively ’sell’ just about anything. Not a business model I recommend, but that’s just personal. And I admit it’s one I’ve followed in the past. Or should I say ‘tried’ to follow. Sometimes, whether we like it or not, we have to accept that personality wise, there are some things you’re not going to be cut out to do. And for me, going against my conscience is one of those things I can’t do.

Note, I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with promoting a product you haven’t used or purchased or tried. It’s just that after a long, hard road, I’ve come to the conclusion it’s not for me.

Too many folks focus on affiliate marketing as needing to be digitalised. Instant gratification however, isn’t always what sells the best. Besides, there are just waaaaayyyyy too many physical products for you to sell as an affiliate to even consider leaving such huge amounts of money on the table.

For that reason, try to broaden your search when looking for affiliate products. Forget about Clickbank and head on over to Amazon instead. Sure the commissions are much lower, but you can more than make up for it by pure volume or just be concentrating on higher priced items. And the beauty of Amazon is there’s a very good chance your friends and family buy from there anyway so making a few sales doesn’t require much at all.

Base whatever affiliate products you try to sell on whether they are actually any good. Don’t opt for the products which offer the highest commissions just because you think you’ll make more money. You’ll sell more if it’s good quality even if the price tag / commission percentage is lower. I know it’s old fashioned but put the customer first. Don’t sell them shit and they’ll refrain from throwing it back at you.

Promoting Affiliate Products

Once again, when you’re just starting out, then figuring out how to actually promote a product is pretty tough. But these days, you don’t have to try very hard. Most product owners provide banners, emails, ads, keywords, videos, etc that you can use. If you have your own site, it’s a breeze. If you don’t, then get a free site set up at least. Head over to Weebly or Blogger or any of the other zillion free sites out there.

If that sounds like too much work, join some relevant forums and put a link in your signature. Note that if you go into any forum and just start spamming the place about XYZ product, you’ll most likely get banned and even if you don’t, you wont’ make many sales. But as long as you actually participate, ask questions, answer questions, make friends, etc you’ll get plenty of folks who’ll click through to see if the product you’re promoting is of any use to them. Which of course, it will be or you wouldn’t be promoting it at that particular forum would ya?

Thow up a few videos on Youtube. These days just about anyone can put together a decent video. Even yours truly here can manage it so I defy anyone to say they can’t do it! Just show how to get the most out of the product and you’re good to go. Hell, you could even make a spoof video related to the product. Have you seen some of the TV ads these days? But they’re entertaining and I’m willing to bet the company have tested the hell out of their marketing methods so don’t rule out laughter as a terrific way to get folks to click on your link. Do remember to put your affiliate link as the first line of the description!

Finally, get out of the IM mindset. Believe it or not, there are a helluva lot of folks who don’t know IM exists and yet they still buy stuff online. I’m still amazed at the number of people trying to make a living online who think the only way to do it is to sell stuff related to making money online.

I’ve even given him the benefit of the doubt when others have been crying out about the delay in getting their commissions, or not knowing who their latest prospects were….

But I draw the line at this latest injustice!

One of the cool things about earning money as a Magnetic Sponsoring affiiliate is the cute email from Mike telling me to “do a little money dance“.  Only I just checked my back office and there are my commissions and I haven’t recieved my money dance email!

Now Mike Dillard may think he knows it all. And he might know a damn site more than me. But if he thinks that his affiliates aren’t going to be bothered about not recieving that email he’s wrong. Well, ok, he might not be wrong. Maybe some affiliates aren’t bothered, but yours truly is, lol.

Does anyone know why these emails stopped? I admit, I’m not the greatest at remembering to check my emails. And with all that I’ve had going on lately, I’m willing to admit that promoting Magnetic Sponsoring hasn’t been as high on the agenda as it used to be. So no emails were expected because I wasn’t expecting to earn any commissions. If it hadn’t been for all the problems lately I wouldn’t have even bothered checking to see my stats.

But now that I have I’m a little sad to say the least.  I really hope they come back. Yeah, the money might be the most important aspect of working online. But for me at least, I kinda like it better when there’s a bit of fun along the way. So come on all you Magnetic Sponsoring affiliates. Get the guy told. We want the money dance back.Related Posts:

Now for those of us who’ve been with Mike’s system for a while it may be a pain, but it isn’t something to get worked up over. Eventually, it’ll be put right and everyone will get their rightful money and have access to the leads they’ve generated. But for those just new to Magnetic Sponsoring, or those who are sitting on the fence wondering whether they want to actually jump off and buy it, it’s a whole different ball game.

You see, when you’re new you’re still of the attitude that if someone like Mike Dillard can’t get it right, then how the hell does he have the nerve to try and sell you a training course on doing just that? And here’s where you have to get over the thinking that you have to get everything right before you actually do something.

This doesn’t just apply with Magnetic Sponsoring. It holds true no matter what you’re trying to make money with. You have to get out there and do it. Take the action. It’s actually much easier to fix something than it is to get it done in the first place. Take article writing as just one example.

Writing your first article is damn hard for a newbie. Where do you start? What do you write about? How long should it be? What keywords do you use? How often do you use them? How much detail do you give?….

And that’s before you’ve even begun to think about where to post them!

But once you actually write that first article it’s much easier to tweak it and change it later. You have the foundation and all you have to do is build on it. Mike knows that getting something done as soon as you can is more important than getting it right.

You can argue both sides for as long as you want. But if you don’t get anything done because you’re constantly trying to get it perfect before you put it out there, then you ain’t going to make money with Magnetic Sponsoring or anything else.

My first capture page, (as I’m sure I’ve probably told you before ) was the ugliest thing ever to appear on the Internet. But I put it up there and changed it as I went. The first e-book I produced wasn’t the best by a long shot. But I put it out there. And you know what? I got over a couple hundred signups before I took it down and replaced it with “The Insider Report”.

Waiting around for your money is tough. It’s not like you don’t need it and it’s not like you haven’t earned it! But this is all part and parcel of working on the Internet folks. Whether we like it not, problems come up. Nobody is immune from them, not even the gurus and definitely not Mike Dillard.Related Posts:

That quality is known as ‘emotional intelligence’ and it can be broken down into just 5 parts.

Qualities of Emotional Intelligence

1. Self Awareness – the ability to recognise and understand your moods and emotions, as well as the effect these have on other people.
2. Self Regulation – the ability to think before acting, controlling any impulses or moods that distract from what you are doing.
3. Motivation – the passion to work for rewards other than money or status and to pursue your goals relentlessly even when you fail.
4. Empathy – you might not believe it but empathy is one of the strongest qualities of an effective leader. When you can understand the emotions of other people you have an advantage when it comes to helping build and develop their talents.
5. Social Skill – the ability to network and interact with people from all walks of life, persuading them to move in whatever direction you choose.

Now you won’t find this leadership quality mentioned in Magnetic Sponsoring. And that’s because it comes direct from the world of academia. We’re talking scientific stuff here and the research has shown that no matter what other qualities leaders of organisations may have, the best performing companies have leaders who score highly on emotional intelligence. (check out “What Makes a Leader” in the Harvard Business Review, 1998)

You might think you can get by if you just have enough motivation, but if you can’t understand other people, if you can’t stop and think before you act, if you can’t develop relationships and persuade people to do what you want them to do… then all the motivation in the world isn’t going to build you a successful business.

Take a look at all the gurus around you. They’re oozing emotional intelligence from every pore. It’s not about being clever in the intellectual sense of the word. It’s about being clever emotionally. Crack that and the rest comes easy.Related Posts:

Now Internet Marketing has a really bad reputation. And that’s down to the fact that a lot of the so called gurus engage in the Mr Nasty tactics because they see it as a business and the point of the business is to make money, not friends. They can justify it, because generally, it’s a given fact that you’re never going to really develop a friendship with your customers. That would make them friends, not customers.

But can you make just as much money, and build a successful business if you don’t follow the Mr Nasty route? And if not, why not?

Personally, while I don’t have many of the skills to engage in some of the less ethicial practises used by some marketers, I doubt I’d use them even if I did. Sleeping at night is waaaay easier when you’re not worrying that you ripped someone off by selling them something they didn’t need. But for a lot of folks, they don’t worry about that type of stuff. And that’s the deal breaker isn’t it?

You can only do business in a way that suits you. Regardless of what you read, no matter how you’re told to run your business, you’ll come across some training or advice that you just won’t be able to put to use because it goes against your own principles.

At the end of the day, it’s down to you. You can do Internet Marketing ethically, or you can do it unethically. But your choice will always be ethical to you, because you are the one who sets the standard of what’s right and wrong in your life. The trouble is if you search for the internet marketing code, there are zillions of results, all of them different. Which one do you choose? Maybe you want to crack the Clickbank code, or the Adsense code, or the affiliate code…? Take your pick.

Or take a word of advice – don’t bother!

There isn’t any code that will help you earn money on the Internet. The only thing that will make you money is ‘work’. And that applies whether you’re looking to make it on the Internet or in a job. Of course, the ‘work’ is different if you do it online. You don’t have to put up with a boss telling you what to do, when to clock in, when to go home, when to take a break…

And that’s the problem. Unfortunately, far too many folks can’t boss themselves! If you can’t make yourself do what you have to do, then no secret code is going to do it for you. I don’t care how much you pay for it, or how successful the guru is that’s giving it to you, or how easy it is to learn, or anything else about it.

If you’re spending time looking for some secret to earning money online, then you’re not actually doing anything to earn that money.  And it’s only when you actually get round to ‘doing the doing‘ that you start to see any results.

Do you know what stops you from actually earning money? The fact that you’re constantly looking for a better, easier, quicker way of doing it!

So you heard that ‘Twitter’ was the greatest thing for Internet Marketers. How hard can that be? Sign up, follow lots of people (who will follow you back of course), then tweet about every money making scheme you come across and they will all click your links and you will make a fortune. Maybe we should call that the ‘Twitter Code’?

You can just replace Twitter with whatever you choose. Wont’ make a blind bit of difference because none of them will work.

Here’s the real ‘code’.

Work your damn socks off. Quit searching for a quick fix, stop reading the garbage put out by the so called ‘experts’, learn some real skills that you can put to use, and then put them to use!

People often ask why I have such a high regard for Mike Dillard. And it’s because this is exactly what Mike teaches. He doesn’t have time for folks who want to be rich by next week without doing any work. Magnetic Sponsoring doesn’t make you rich just because you’ve bought it. It doesn’t even make you rich if you read it. Hell, why buy it then?

Because, like every other training course that’s worth studying, it will make you rich if you put it into action!

I’m telling you now those gurus, (Mike Dillard included), work every single day in order to keep the money rolling in. Their work may be different from the work they did when they started, but they work nevertheless. And if you want to be successful at Internet Marketing then you have to work at it as well.

So here’s the ‘Internet Marketing Code’ for you to crack in 2010. Are you ready?

• Decide once and for all which type of Internet business you’re going to get into. It doesn’t matter if it’s network marketing, affiiliate marketing, blogging, PPC…whatever. Just decide.
• Once you’ve decided, then check out what other folks are doing to make money in that area. So if you want to be an affiliate, learn from other affiliates. Notice how the successful affiliates don’t send visitors directly to a sales page. This means you have to learn how to pre-sell, and probably how to set up a website where you can do that pre-selling.
• Research! It might not be glamorous and its definitely not sexy, but its the backbone of any business. Is there a market that is ready to buy what you’re planning on offering? Do you know what keywords that market is using to find the products? Get it right and you’re more than 90% of the way there.
• Put your findings to use. Set up a website, not hard and Wordpress is still the easiest and best tool for doing it. Plus its free so why pay for another tool that won’t be as good and will take you a whole lot longer to learn how to use?
• Visitors – the more the merrier, but only if they’re the right ones. Don’t be fooled by the hype that just getting traffic is enough for you to make money. You can send a million visitors a day to your site, but if they’re looking for steak and you’re selling chicken you won’t earn a thing. This is where your research pays off. If you’ve chosen the right keywords to go after, you’ll get the right visitors.
• Relationships – if there really was a secret code, this would be it. Building a relationship with your visitors means you get to know them and they get to know you. Know what they want and give it to them!

No doubt a lot of you will read this and think, “yeah right, what does she know”. But consider this.

Magnetic Sponsoring is the biggest selling training course on the Internet. And of all the folks who’ve bought it, who was the one person who managed to persuade some of the most successful owners of that course to spill their guts and provide ‘insider‘ information that isn’t available anywhere else?

Just as there aren’t any ‘get rich quick secrets‘, there isn’t a secret code to earning money online.

And let’s face it, the changes they’ve made have all seemed to be designed as a way of making sure that crappy articles don’t get published and so make it harder for the good articles to be found. When some lazy bum rehashes a piece of crap that consists of a couple of hundred , badly structured, badly spelt, utter gibberish and yet manages to cheat their way into the most viewed section… well, it’s a good job I’m too much of a lady to say what I really think. (at least not on Google, lol).

And by the way, if you’re wondering how you can cheat your way into the ‘most viewed’ section, it’s easy. You just ‘buy‘ the views. You didn’t really think those articles were there because they were actually any good did you?

Article Length

According the editorial guidelines, articles must contain a minimum of 250 words and a maximum of 5,000 words. Great. But also note that  their ‘ideal’ is between 400 and 750 words! Well, that may be their ideal, but what if it’s not yours, or more importantly, what if it’s the right number of words to get your point across, provide the information that the reader is looking for, and get them interested enough that they  click back to your site for more information?

Links Within Articles

Once again, the editorial guidelines allow a maximum of 4 links, shared between the article and the resource box. Only two of those links can be ’self serving’, that is, point to your own sites. And they can’t both be in the body of the article. In fact, unless the link is to a page/site that adds additional value to the actual article, you can’t have any of your self serving links in the article itself.

But if you don’t have your own site, (which you really should by the way), don’t think you can link to an affiliate site. Because EZA don’t allow you to choose that option. Unless you have your own domain and are using a redirect. Hmm, now if you can use a redirect, why not just allow you to link directly to the affiliate site in the first place?

Anchor Text

One of the beautiful things about article marketing is the ability to generate lots of lovely links back to your own site, and so help you rank higher in the search engines. And of course, to do that you need to be using the right keywords in your anchor text.

If the phrase you want to use is 3 words or less, you can get away with writing an article under the 400 word limit. If the phrase is between 5 and 3 words, your article has to be over 400 words. If the phrase you want to target happens to be more than 5 words, you’ll have to find another article directory to submit your article to!

Article Categories

EZA kindly provide a list of category guidelines for you to use when submitting your article. However, for the home based business owner, your articles don’t qualify to be placed in the ‘business’ category.

The main business category is reserved for small, medium, large and enterprise-level business articles and this does not include Internet or Home-Based-Business articles.

When you look at some of the sub categories within the business category, you have to ask yourself why your articles shouldn’t be published there.

Business: Branding - essential for anyone working online to be able to brand themselves and their home based business effectively. Yet you can’t submit articles on this topic to this category.

Business: Customer Service – if you want to educate your readers on the importance of building good customer relations you can’t use this category.

Business: Entrepreneurialism – if this isn’t for online marketers I don’t know what the hell is.

Business: Marketing Direct – believe it or not this sub category includes articles devoted to such things ‘mlm business leads’ and ‘network marketing’. Yet the home based busienss owner can’t submit their articles here?

Unfortunately, it has to be said that in many respects EZA are getting too big for their boots. Instead of just booting out the crappy article marketers, they’re taking a sheep dip approach and forcing everyone to suffer because of the antics of a few.

Personally, I’ve never been a fan of sheep dipping.

If they had they’d have known right away that the first principle Mike teaches in Magnetic Sponsoring is that you don’t sell anything. Period.

Magnetic Sponsoring isn’t about selling. It’s about attraction marketing.

For those who want to know how to sell Magnetic Sponsoring, get the damn book and read it. Then you can quit worrying about selling it (and everything else).

If you look at any of the most successful, online marketers out there, you’ll see that they’re all following what Mike teaches, even though they may call it something different. They all are set up as ‘leaders’, ‘authority’ gurus who know what they’re talking about.

And you believe them, because in actual fact, it’s right (except for the fakers who you can usually spot a mile off). The more you know, the more use you are to someone else who wants to know what you know. And once you’re of use to folks, then your value increases and so does your bank balance.

You don’t sell stuff by selling it. You sell stuff because people believe you and trust you. I wrote an article on ‘building a reputation’ a helluva long time ago. It was right then, and it’s right now.

And if you want to know the best way to sell Magnetic Sponsoring (or anything else) then forget about selling and worry about your reputation. Think about it. The reason the top gurus can get you to hand over your cash is because of their reputation.

If you ask any legitimate Magnetic Sponsoring affiliate how they go about selling, not only Magnetic Sponsoring, but any other product, or how they go about generating their MLM leads, they’ll tell you the simple answer – they don’t.

They build their reputation, and they let folks come to them, either to buy their stuff or join their company. But they never try to sell anybody anything.Related Posts:

Let’s put it to rest once and for all.

Google Adsense is one of the easiest ways to make money online. Period!

You can do it for free, and all you have to do is:

• do some keyword research, (I’ve discussed keyword research a zillion times)
• set up some sites (Blogger.com is fine),
• drive some traffic, (Article Marketing is still the best for quality traffic)
• Decide whether to go for quality ( a few, high traffic sites) or quantity (more sites with less traffic to each of them).

Once you’ve decided on that it’s simply a matter of getting off your butt and putting your plan to dominate the Google Adsense program into action. Which of course, is where it usually falls flat, because most folks won’t take the time to do the work. And then they’ll run away screaming that you can’t make money with Google Adsense!

So if it’s that easy, what’s Google’s sneaky secret that makes it so hard for the average, wannabe, Adsense guru to make a fortune? The truth is that Google doesn’t have a secret. Like everything else, the information for getting the most out of the Adsense program is right on Google itself. The advantage the gurus have over the average marketer, is the fact that they take Google’s Adsense optimisation tips and use them.

Now, having said that, there are a couple of tips that you might want to take note of.

Smartpricing

Basically, if the ads on your site perform poorly, you’ll get paid a lot less than another site that performs better while showing the same ads. So, if you get a lot of visitors, but your click through rate is poor, or you generate a lot of clicks that don’t result in a conversion for the advertiser, you can expect to earn less per click.

The best way to avoid the smartpricing penalty is to provide targeted content. If your visitors are interested in your content, there’s more chance they’ll be interested in the ads being displayed. This results in a ‘win-win’ for everyone, you get the click, the advertiser gets the sale, and Google gets the satisfaction of having pleased another surfer (as well as the payout of course, )

Adsense Keywords

When deciding what keywords to optimise your site and content for, you want to know the cost per click that advertisers are paying. Obviously, higher CPC’s will result in more money for you as an adsense publisher. (Assuming, of course, that you haven’t been ’smartpriced’).

Don’t think that if the CPC is $15, you are actually going to make that same amount for every click! Your share is likely to be pretty small compared to Google’s. But hey, it’s free money so does it really matter?Related Posts:

However, for anyone who owns Magnetic Sponsoring, you will know that this site is still very much sticking to the principles taught in it. For those, who don’t own it, you might want to do yourself a favour and go get it.

Having said that, I decided to put up a little website devoted totally to explaining the Magnetic Sponsoring System and nothing else. And yes, I used one of the free resources mentioned right here folks. Good old Weebly.com – can’t beat it for ease of use when you’re in a hurry.

It’s not the most captivating website in the world, but it doesn’t need to be. That’s where I made all my mistakes in the past. Thinking that something has to be perfect before you unleash it to the world. Get off your butts and just do it. Who cares if it’s not perfect? You can always go back and change it up later.

And by the way, for those of you following along with the ‘make money’ experiment, here’s a tip – you really should stick to the dotcom domains. Yes, the other domains I’ve bought are making some money and getting some traffic, but it’s waaaaay slower than with the dotcom versions.

Kind of funny that the subject of domains is covered in the Domain Secrets book that comes free with Magnetic Sponsoring and yet I violated the golden rule Mike covers in there, lol. Sorry Mike.

I will say that article marketing is still the quickest and easiest way ( as well as the cheapest) to get those all important backlinks to your site. Admittedly it may not be that way for some of you. But once you get the right tools, it’s not hard to write up an article and since I don’t bother submitting them to hundreds of article directories, the working time is minimal.

The real key is still making more use of each article that you write, not mass submitting to places no-one has ever heard of or is ever likely to visit. And backlinks are not created equal folks! Google knows which sites are important and which aren’t. A link from a crappy article directory won’t give you anywhere near as much traffic and link love as from a relevant, respected and already ranking website.

And yet, copywriting is one of Mike’s skills that he doesn’t really talk about much. Maybe he reckons that it’s enough to let his copy speak for itself and so he doesn’t need to brag about it like a lot of copywriters do. Personally, I’m not too sure if copywriting is a skill that you can learn. I’ve tried and always failed miserably.

But I do know the quality of information that Mike gives in his other products. So I’m willing to bet that if he reckons it’s ‘learnable’ (is that  a word), then it is.

If you can learn copywriting there’s a pretty good chance you won’t need to learn anything else. Nobody will care if you’re getting all the keywords in the wrong place. It won’t matter if you’re paying a fortune for PPC. And your chances of being accused of spamming someone who signed up to your list will be practically zilch.

Why?

Because with a swish of your pen (or a clunk of your keyboard) you’ll win everybody over and have them singing your praises while they’re busy throwing their money at you and begging you to sell them anything you want.

And for those of you reading this and thinking, “yeah, well I’m not into ‘selling‘ anything” so I don’t need to bother about copywriting… you need to bother about it if you’re wanting to make some money. If you’re running a blog and wanting folks to read it, click the affiliate links or the google ads, or even just share it with their mates, then you better be writing stuff that’s actually makes folks sit up and take notice and do something other than just flick over to the next blog on their reading list.

Now unfortunately, this is only available for a limited time. Frankly, I hate the whole ’scarcity’ thing, but it’s a marketing tactic that works. And will it be released again? Yeah, probably it will. Maybe with a higher price tag, maybe not. Maybe without the bonuses, maybe not.

Actually it doesn’t really matter. If you’re thinking you’ll get it next time round, then wait and see if it is released again. But bear in mind, all the while you’re writing mundane, boring, non-converting emails, ads, blog posts, articles,… you’re leaving money on the table that all the folks who pick up this copywriting course today, will be making tomorrow. : )

If you are really serious and want to learn copywriting for helping with whatever type of marketing you’re into, then grab Mike’s course. As usual, with all of his stuff, there’s a cast iron guarantee. A whole year for you to take this copywriting course, learn it, apply it and rake in the cash from it. Somehow, I doubt there’ll be many folks asking for a refund. I’ve never yet considered returning any of his courses and neither have any of the other ‘Insiders’ who’ve actually acted on the training delivered rather than just letting them gather dust on the shelves.

Not only are they sold on all your internet marketing secrets that you’re promising to deliver, they’re also sold on the idea of spending yet more money on paying someone to do all the work for them.

Internet marketing requires you to put in some work. If you don’t like that idea, tough! The secret isn’t just in outsourcing all the work either. If you don’t know what the hell you’re doing, how do you plan on giving instructions to anyone else and then keeping a check on what they do to make sure you’re not being ripped off (again)?

There will always be a brighter, bigger, better, shinier, quicker, get rich quick scam around the corner. Trust me, I’ve fallen for more of them than you’ve had hot dinners. Without fail, every one of them cost me more wasted time and energy, not to mention money, than any of the ‘work’ I’ve put in to growing my business the hard way.

Having finally come to realise that the only genuine internet marketing secrets are those which are right in front of your nose, life has become a lot more productive and a damn site less frustrating.

1. You will need to work for longer than a week. Probably longer than a month or two. In fact, you best be prepared to work at it for at least a year. And by that I mean the real work of building a solid business, not just throwing cash at every money making opportunity you come across online.
2. Learn some skills. Yep, real skills that you can use in your business. It might be writing, it might be making videos, it might be PPC, it might be creating websites, or optimizing them for the search engines. It could be any one of a thousand different skills. But you’re going to need them and without them you’re dead in the water.
3. Test and tweak and test again! Oh, how I wish I’d listened to this advice years ago. Testing is sooooo boring. And who really cares if your visitors click on the first link or the second link. Does it really matter if they come to your site from this bookmark or that bookmark, as long as they get there? Trust me, when one of your sites is generating Adsense clicks and signups to your list on a daily basis, while the others are lucky to get a click a month… you’re gonna want to know why!
4. Learn the art of back scratching. Commonly referred to as ’social networking’, if you want to class this as one of those internet marketing secrets, it comes down to nothing more than, “you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours”. Now you know why all the gurus are all buddy buddy with each other. They all tell everyone on their lists how great the others are. And we all believe them!
5. Spend your money wisely. There is no doubt about it that getting your hands on the right tools can save you a helluva lot of time and money. But what’s the point of investing in anything that you’re not going to use? If you aren’ t planning on making videos, don’t waste your cash on the best screen capture software. If article marketing isn’t your cup of tea, then don’t waste your time buying a really great article spinner and / or article submitter. Unless you’re already a millionaire, that money is best kept for essentials such as hosting, autoresponders, etc.

Quit looking for the short cuts. There aren’t any. And think of it this way, if you’d invested as much effort into building an internet business the right way as you’ve so far spent looking for a short cut, you’d no doubt be already a damn site more successful by now!Related Posts:

The first lesson learned is that there’s a whole lot more money to be made outside of the Internet Marketing niche, than there is to be made inside it. I don’t give a flying **** what the gurus tell you. Get out of the IM niche and you can earn more money, rank higher, build a bigger list, get more clicks, sell more products…. than you ever will trying to sell to other online marketers.

There’s just so much less competition out there. Admittedly, I’m well impressed with the latest ‘toy’ added to my arsenal which makes finding profitable niches a breeze. But finding the niche isn’t enough on it’s own.

And of the 3 niche sites launched so far, the one doing the best bears no resemblance to anything remotely connected to making money online.

Without revealing the niche let me tell you what I’ve done so far:

• Bought the dotcom domain
• Setup a simple Wordpress blog
• Did some keyword research
• Put up 6 posts (all unique)
• Found some affiliate products to make the sidebar look pretty
• Created a downloadable ‘free giveaway’ to build a list
• Put up one adsense block in each post
• Wrote and submitted two articles
• Got about 3 backlinks to the site

And that’s pretty much about it. Not a great deal of work. And it’s the minimum you’d have to do for just about any site regardless of what niche you were going after anyway.

Yet this one little site, with hardly any content, and even less in the way of backlinks already earns more money than some of my IM sites that have been around for a year or more. And despite the fact I didn’t really think anyone in this niche would bother handing over their email address, I was amazed to see how quickly they were willing to sign up.

Not only that, they’re a damn site better at actually confirming their subscription and then going on to open, read and click the links from the emails sent out.

The site ranked on the first page of Google within a month, and after a couple of months is at number one for my main keyword, with a double listing to boot.

What I will say is that I didn’t use EZA for the article submission. Been testing out some new directories and new linking methods. Now that may have been good or bad. Perhaps the site would have ranked quicker had I stuck with EZA? To be honest, I have no idea. And to be honest, I don’t really care.

Number one within that short of a timescale, with practically no work? It’s a no brainer. As far as yours truly is concerned, the  internet marketing sites have a long way to go before they can compete with the teeny, tiny niche markets.Related Posts:

Quite frankly, you have to wonder how the hell they allowed themselves to get into such massive amounts of debt in the first place. It’s not like they’re admitting the reason for their debt was anything necessary. They went out and stacked up everything on the ‘making money online’ dream. And for some reason, they wear that as a kind of badge of honor system. It’s like you can’t make it big unless you’ve been at risk of homelessness and starvation.

The truth is that internet marketing shouldn’t be putting you into debt. If you can’t control your finances now, then it doesn’t matter how much money you might make in the future, you still won’t be debt free because you’ll continue to have no control over your finances.

And I don’t know about you, but if I was in the position of possibly losing the roof over my head, and / or not being able to provide food on the table, I sure as hell would be more worried about that than learning about how to make money on the Internet!

If you’re already in debt, then get some help. See a debt counsellor, or contact a debt helpline. Add up all your income, then add up your outgoings. If you’re spending more than you’re paying out, cut out the non essentials. And you will have some non essentials. Everybody does.

Of course, a few years and lots of cash later it became pretty clear that going into the wrong niche meant the difference between making money and losing money. And since I started my little making money experiment a few weeks ago it seems so obvious that I have to ask myself just how dumb can I have been not to see it at the time.

In truth, I don’t think I’m any dumber than the next grandma.    But, like so many others, I got blinded by the hype. And I’m beginning to think if I’d been left to my own devices I may well have figured the bloody thing out a lot quicker. I’d certainly have saved a whole lot of money and bucket loads of frustration.

With that in mind, you’ll notice (I hope), that I’ve rearranged the “Insider Resources” section in the sidebar to lay out the steps you need to take, in the order you need to take them. They are all linked to the tools I’m using right now to research and set up different niches in my little experiment.

You don’t need to use these tools. Trust me, you can do it manually. It’ll just take a while longer and there’s no guarantee you’ll get it right. (Of course, there’s no guarantee you’ll get it right if you buy the resources and don’t use them. See the “Things You Should Know” in the sidebar!)

If you follow the system, you’ll make money. A couple of the niche sites I’ve set up are making some money with adsense, as well as building subscriber lists, and that’s before I’ve fully turned on the traffic. (yep, I’m as lazy as the rest of you). Which of course reminds me, I should have put the autoresponder I use in there. Let’s face it, you can definitely make money once you have your own list. I’ll get round to adding it soon, I promise.

In the meantime, if you haven’t already started following a system for making money online, then get off your butt and get on with it. Even if it’s not the system I’m using, get a system that works and stick to it.Related Posts:

I sooooo long for the days when I thought it was as easy as signing up to a ‘make money‘ scheme and then all I had to do was sit back and wait for the cash to come rolling in. Alas, you can’t unlearn the knowledge and experience so unfortunately I’m stuck with the realisation that making money requires work.

And yeah, it’s hardly ‘work’ in the real sense of the word. Be honest, making money online isn’t likely to give you callouses and you’re not likely to get p****d off in the rush hour traffic driving to your job. But there’s still skills to be learned and tasks to be done on a daily basis, if you want to be making any money at all, let alone reaching the dizzying heights of earning 6 or 7 figures online.

So with that in mind, I’ve recently set out on a little ‘how to make money‘ experiment of my own. Given the numerous methods of making money online, I’m testing which is likely to provide the quickest income, which is likely to give the highest income, and of course, which money making method is likely to provide the easiest, long term income. Personally, it’d be great if one method turns out to be top in each category, but somehow I doubt it!

I’ll be using the usual marketing methods, blogging, article writing, adsense, affiliate marketing, etc so nothing that requires any particular technical skills and all of which can be done for free, (at at minimal cost).

If you want to keep up to date with it, buy all means subscribe to the RSS feed, or join the newsletter. Obviously, the newsletter gang get more detailed updates than the feed gang – what’s the point of signing up otherwise? But the choice is yours.

As to whether or not there is one tool that is better than another, it really comes down to what you are wanting from your keyword research. Have you already decided your niche and are looking for keywords to help you rank better in the search engines? Or are you going to be selling a product and want the best keywords to use for your PPC campaign? Maybe you’re wanting to earn money from Adsense?

See, keyword research covers a whole lot of ground and you need to know up front what it is you want in order to get the best performing keywords for it.  Is there such a thing as the ultimate keyword research tool that does it, uncovering every last one of Google’s secrets, regardless of where you want to use them? Personally, I don’t think so. Not even my fabulous Market Samurai does everything I would love for it to do. But then, it’s not meant to be just for keyword research.

In fact, that’s the trouble with most of the keyword tools out there. They’ve evolved into being more than just a keyword research tool. Now we not only want them to find the best keywords, but we also want to know how much those keywords are worth in terms of SEO value, or Adsense value. We want our keyword tool to tell us how hard the competition is, find relevant content, discover high ranking PR sites that we can use for backlinking, check out how much we’ll have to pay for a PPC campaign… the list just goes on.

Oh, and of course we want all it done on autopilot within a matter of seconds, if you please.

If you’re looking for keywords that will get you ranked higher in the search engines, then you need to find those that are going to be relatively easy to rank for. Check out the competition. If the first few sites have your chosen keyword in the title, look at their PR, see how many backlinks they have. Don’t waste your time going after keywords if the top sites already have a high PR with a zillion websites linking back to them. Unless of course, you want to spend the next few years trying to catch them up.

Quite frankly, the best keyword research tool is right between your ears. Sure, go ahead and find ways to automate it. But keyword research is the most important aspect of doing your business online and if you’re not prepared to put in a little bit of work upfront on finding the right keywords for whichever aspect of your business you’re working on, then you won’t have much success regardless of which keyword research tool you opt to use.Related Posts:

The big deal mainly centres around a couple of points, and I quote:

Under the revised Guides, advertisements that feature a consumer and convey his or her experience with a product or service as typical when that is not the case will be required to clearly disclose the results that consumers can generally expect.

The problem with this is that ‘typical‘ needs to be clarified. If consumers A, B and C follow your diet plan and all achieve an average weight loss of 10lbs in two weeks, but consumers D through Z don’t bother following the plan and so don’t achieve the same results, which results do you specify as being ‘typical’?

How do you prove that consumers D – Z didn’t follow the plan? Where does the burden of proof lie? By the same token, how are the FTC going to prove it?

As Internet Marketers we are all too aware of the number of people who buy the latest course/software package that comes along, and then are left wondering why they didn’t earn $35,723 the next week. (Duh, because they didn’t bother opening the damn thing and putting the information to use). How do we know this? Because we’ve all been guilty of doing the exact same thing at some point in our online marketing careers.

The revised Guides specify that while decisions will be reached on a case-by-case basis, the post of a blogger who receives cash or in-kind payment to review a product is considered an endorsement. Thus, bloggers who make an endorsement must disclose the material connections they share with the seller of the product or service.

Now to those who work in the make money online market, this shouldn’t really be too much of a surprise. You know and I know all about affiliate commissions. The problems come when you step outside of this niche and pretend to be recommending something that you have absolutely no knowledge of. And yes, a lot of affiliate marketers do it. The folks buying a product on how to play better golf, how to take better care of their pets, how to get pearly white teeth…. or any one of the zillion other info products being recommended to them, don’t have a clue that you are in fact recommending that product so enthusiastically because you’re going to earn money for doing so, rather than because you really do believe what you’re saying!

Celebrity endorsers also are addressed in the revised Guides. While the 1980 Guides did not explicitly state that endorsers as well as advertisers could be liable under the FTC Act for statements they make in an endorsement, the revised Guides reflect Commission case law and clearly state that both advertisers and endorsers may be liable for false or unsubstantiated claims made in an endorsement – or for failure to disclose material connections between the advertiser and endorsers.

Now for me, this is where it gets pretty interesting. Who decides celebrity status? And is this going to be confined to stars of TV, Radio, Music, Films, etc? Let’s face it we have some pretty cool ‘celebrity gurus’ out there. Some of them in fact have achieved their celebrity status quite simply because they make such a fuss about the fact they’ll get paid if you buy through their affiliate link.

Frank Kern is one of the smartest, most likeable, guys around in the IM niche. And he has no problem at all pointing out his affiliate links. Do folks not bother buying something he’s recommended simply because they don’t want to contribute to his already vast fortune? Of course not, in fact, just the opposite. Frank probably makes more money because he’s so blatant about his affiliate linking. (of course his great copywriting skills mean he can totally take control of your brain so do be careful, lol).

Over the years I’ve tried just about every article spinner/submitter on the planet (and quite possibly some from other planets too given how hard they were to use) in an effort to make my article writing quicker and simpler. Now maybe I’m a little fussy over my articles, I kind of think that any information I put out there, with my name at the end of it, has to be useful and worthwhile to anyone who reads it.

Article marketing isn’t just about generating backlinks and free traffic. It’s also about personal branding. And if you’re going to be branding yourself as an expert, you can’t really do that if you’re putting out rubbish. That’s why I was so insistent on you all taking the time to research your articles properly and make sure you know what keywords you’re going after, before you write the article.

However, I’m pleased to say I think I’ve finally found a golden nugget in amongst all the fool’s gold of article marketing software.  And yes, it’s a paid tool! I know I’m the queen of getting it for free whenever possible, but you know I think that old cliche, “you get what you pay for”, must have been written with article marketing software in mind.

Seriously, this isn’t on full scale general release yet. I’ve only been privvy to it for a couple of days but in that time I’ve already set up a couple of projects, used 3 of their PLR articles (I’m ashamed to admit that the PLR content was actually so good that I hardly changed it, Google will NOT be impressed, lol) and the only glitch I’ve managed to find is that the ‘copy to clipboard’ doesn’t! (copy to clipboard that is)

So what does it do?

Well, look at the main problem with article marketing. Hint – It’s not the research, I’ve already shown you how quick and easy that is.  It’s not even writing and submitting an article if we’re being totally honest. It’s the fact that you have to keep repeating it all over and over again. Your articles need to be unique, they need to be useful, they need to be targeted. And doing one article after another gets to be pretty laborious and time consuming.

But if you don’t submit unique content then most of your articles will disappear from the search engine results pretty quickly and you’re left with having to repeat the process over and over and over.

Article Writer Pro gets you the content first and foremost. I was blown away by this step. You put in a phrase, – ‘golf clubs are’; ‘weight loss is’; ‘make money by’; ‘your chosen keyword can’ – any phrase you want, and off Article Writer Pro goes and brings you back as much content as you want. All neatly packaged up into little blocks of content that you can then change, interweave, spin to your hearts content.

You then simply put each block of content into whichever topic you choose and click the button. It really is that simple. Do remember though that you do have to set up your topics first. It took me about half an hour to set up the first project. Now I can add to it as much as I like and turn out a highly unique article in less than 5 minutes.

Articles that can be used anywhere, EZA, Squidoo, Hubpages, InfoBarrel.

If you really can’t be bothered to use the content research feature, then check out the huge (and I mean over 100,000 huge) PLR articles that you get as part of your membership. And like I said, the few I’ve checked were so good I used them practically straight out of the box.

Article Writer Pro is a very serious piece of software. Don’t be fooled by the price. If you’re really serious about getting more backlinks, generating more leads, getting more traffic, and generally making more money, then you need to be putting this to work. Seriously, I’m convinced this is an industry of addicts. Folks have become addicted to hunting down the latest, greatest, easiest, most profitable way to riches. And the so called guru’s (drug lords?) are quite happy to continue feeding your addiction by tempting you with all their Internet Marketing drugs.

Ask yourself why your hard drive is clogged up with free e-books, reports, software, tools, etc that you have never used and probably don’t even know you have. Face it, you’re an IM addict. You are out there hunting for all this information, and that becomes your focus. Your real focus, the reason you started looking for ways to earn money in the first place is lost in a drug filled haze.

The problem is that you don’t realise it until it’s too late. Just like any other drug, you get sucked in thinking it won’t hurt. And this is definitely going to be the last piece of information you’re going to need before you put it to work, alongside all the other ‘pieces’ you’ve hunted down. And then you’ll start earning the money you set out to earn in the first place.

But of course, those Internet Marketing Drug Lords, aren’t going to allow that to happen. There’s always going to be more and more and more and more.

It’s time to remember what your real focus is. What exactly you were hunting for when you first started your Internet Marketing journey. And I’m willing to bet it wasn’t information. It probably wasn’t even money – at least not the amount of money your drug crazed brain is telling you is out there now!

So when I came across the offer of some free training that I know is going to be as valuable as hell, you can bet I jumped on the opportunity. And being unable to keep my mouth shut about anything, of course, I surrendered to the urge to tell you all about it. Now I know some folks who are trying to win this course, (yours truly included), and for sure they won’t be very happy that I’m letting more folks in on it. But here’s my reasoning behind blabbing.

The course will actually be built using the results of the survey. So the more folks that take the survey, the more detailed and relevant will be the course. It’s why I was so keen to sign up for MLM Traffic Formula 2 because when I purchased the orginal Traffic Formula I got a course that other folks had said they wanted. And their problems weren’t the same as mine.

Now I know Richard, (the author), already knows a whole load of valuable information, but the trouble is that once you get to a certain level in your online endeavours, you honestly forget how hard some stuff was in the beginning.  In fact, you forget what it was you didn’t know you didn’t know. (I really hope that makes sense )

So by basing the course around the survey results, Richard is guaranteeing that the information you’re getting is exactly tailored to what you need. Now obviously he’s keen to get to work on discovering the results so that he can put together the perfect marketing course. And I’m obviously keen to make sure there’s as much information in there as possible.

The simple answer is that I don’t have a badge to display because I didn’t sign up to get one.  Does that mean I’ve somehow turned my back on Mike’s products, his community, his training…? Absolutely not. I still maintain to this day, Magnetic Sponsoring is the single most effective training manual you can buy if you want to learn how to be successful in any form of online business.

But offering to sell  a badge that says members who display it abide by certain principles isn’t something I consider to be one of Mike’s best ideas. I could be a whole mile wrong on this one. Let’s face it, Mike Dillard sure as hell knows more than I do about network marketing.

So why not?

• You don’t need a ‘badge’ to say you’re a ‘better’ networker than the next guy. You either uphold certain values in your business or you don’t.
• Who the hell is going to police all the activities of all the folks who do join? Because paying a monthly fee isn’t going to guarantee that values and principles will be upheld. And when those standards aren’t enforced then the badge and membership becomes worthless, ruining it for every other member out there.
• How much value is placed on the ABN by the wider, global community of network marketers? Better Networker no doubt has a massive membership of folks looking to get involved in the industry and it’s only going to get bigger, but will they really think that a badge of honour that is paid for every month is enough reason to trust the ABN members?

Sure, there’ll be special content that’s only for fully paid up members. You wouldn’t expect anything less and on this count I have no doubt that Mike and his team will (as usual) totally over deliver. But for me personally, the principle of being a Better Networker, doesn’t sit right with it being something you can buy for a monthly fee.

I know personally a lot of the folks who have signed up. I trusted them implicitly before they got a badge saying they were trustworthy so in that respect nothing’s changed. The new folks who I haven’t yet had the pleasure of networking with and building relationships with, the badge won’t change anything there either. Until they prove that they uphold the principles Mike’s standing for, it’s just another graphic on their website.

Network marketing gets a bad name for a lot of reasons. Maybe, as an ‘Insider’ I’ve been lucky to only be exposed to the type of networkers who do have values and principles of what is right and what isn’t? For that I am eternally grateful to Mike Dillard and all the great friends I’ve made as a result of purchasing his training courses and joining his community.

For those looking not only for the network marketing opportunities out there, but also the best training to help you be successful with them, then you can’t go much further than the BetterNetworker community. Just please don’t be blinded if someone starts flashing their nice, shiny,  ‘badge of trust’ at you. Make sure they deserve to be holding it first.Related Posts:

Perfection

Perfection doesn’t exist. You will always find a way to improve upon what you’re doing, and if you wait until something is perfect before you actually put it out there you’re going to be waiting a very long time before you see any money coming in.  Until you put something (anything) out there, you have no pressure to get it right and make it work. So you end up just playing around and convince yourself you’re ‘working‘. BS.

Time

Yeah, it’s hard to find the time to actually make money when you’re busy spending your time reading up on the latest ways to do it. After all, there are only so many hours in the day and its much easier to watch a video showing you how to install Wordpress than it is to actually go install it. (Trust me on this one, it really is. I still watch this video as I’m doing it). Should you be studying how to earn money on the Internet? Of course you should. But once you’ve studied it, get out there and do it. Learn and apply one skill before you worry about learning all of them.

Money

So you don’t have any money to invest in your Internet business? Simple answer – give up and go back to work. You don’t need a whole lot of money before you can start earning more.

• Domain name – about $8 buys you a domain name. Has to be renewed on a yearly basis.
• Hosting – anywhere from $4 – $12 a month and many hosting companies let you host an unlimited number of domains.

In total, you’re looking at shelling out less than $100 for your first year online. Do you really think you can’t make that back before the year’s up? And it’s not like you have to pay for it all up front. Admit it. Money isn’t really what’s stopping you.

Fear

I’m going to assume you aren’t scared of making money so what the hell are you scared of? If I was to take a wild guess it’d be that your biggest fear is not making money. Nobody likes looking dumb. And if you don’t end up being a hugely successful Internet millionaire, then of course you’ve failed. BS.

You may never end up being a hugely successful Internet ‘guru’, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make enough money on the Internet to at least supplement your income from your job, or even give up your job altogether. If you’re thinking you have to start out by earning a million bucks in your first year, you’re already setting yourself up to fail. Before you can earn that sort of money, you have to earn $1. How hard is it to earn one measly buck?

KISS

Find something that people want to buy and sell it to them.

How do you know what they want to buy. Go do some research. Look on Amazon, look on Ebay, look on Google. It’s not hard. But most folks don’t bother with this step which is why they don’t make any money. Instead, they try to sell something that they think folks want or they look at selling whatever offers the biggest commission. Bad idea. Really, really, bad idea.

Rinse and Repeat

If the number one reason folks fail to make money online is not actually doing anything the second is not repeating it. You think you only have to do this once and you’ll hit the big time?   Wrong.

Well, let me tell you, you couldn’t be more far off the mark. I hate it when newbies think they have nothing to offer. And I hate it even more when the so called ‘gurus’ agree, except to point out that the newbie usually has more ‘money’ to offer because they haven’t yet learned to distinguish between value and BS.

My first joint venture took place before I even knew what a joint venture was! Really, I had no idea, hadn’t heard the term before, didn’t know what it meant, and hadn’t a clue that what I was doing was actually putting one together.

Want to see how hard it was?

Hardly rocket science I’m sure you’ll agree. Now bear in mind, I did this just a couple of months after getting my hands on Magnetic Sponsoring. I sure as heck didn’t have the knowledge, the contacts, the skills or anything that would make anyone want to help me out. I just thought it would be a good idea, based on my own experiences of MS and how long I’d struggled to believe it was anything other than a load of old baloney.

So I had an idea, and asked if anyone else figured it was a good idea and if so did they want to get in on the act?

Bang goes the “it’s too hard” myth.

Now those of you who have already downloaded your own copy of “The Insider Report”, know the answer to the second myth – (nobody would be interested in working with newbies), because you’re already privvy to some of the names that contributed to that report and some of the secrets they’ve shared.

For those of you who haven’t got your copy, (what the hell are you waiting for? I’m not even asking for your email address for this report), rest assured some of the biggest names in the Magnetic Sponsoring community pitched in and revealed their own ’secret’ and not one link to Magnetic Sponsoring in the whole report.

Now maybe I’m lucky because the whole principle of MS is giving and helping others, regardless of whether you’re going to get anything in return so my ‘niche’ was targeted to help out. But with any joint venture the aim is to help out.

Or it should be. (Maybe I’m missing something?)

Successful Joint Ventures are a win-win for everybody. Those big name gurus who helped out with my little idea, got to have their names and websites put in front of every single person who downloads that report. People who might never have got to hear of them otherwise, (ok, they’re big names and were probably already heard of, but a little extra publicity never goes amiss).

Whole training courses have been written (and sold for very handsome prices) on the subject of Joint Ventures. What’s to learn? You want someone to help you out, you ask them. They can only say, ‘no’ or ‘yes’. It’s not like you’ll be hung from the gallows just for asking.

Would you like some ‘in-depth‘ secrets to setting up successful Joint Ventures?

• Ask nicely – if your parents didn’t teach you any manners, go out and learn some yourself.
• It’s not all about you – make sure potential JV partners will be rewarded for their help.
• Stick to any agreements made – again this goes back to good manners as well as good business sense. If you ever hope to do any future Joint Ventures, you want a reputation as a good partner.

Newbies are just as capable of pulling off a successful Joint Venture partnership as any of the big name marketing gurus out there. If you’ve studied any of the great copywriters, you’ll know that ‘asking for the sale’ is one of the key aspects of a successful campaign. If you don’t ask, you don’t get. Or as my mother was so fond of telling me, “Shy bairns get no broth”.

Just because you’re new doesn’t mean you don’t have anything to offer. Enthusiasm, committment, desire, determination… these are the sort of traits that build mega successful empires. Building a successful Joint Venture should be a walk in the park for you guys.

Yes, it’s still the number one question I get asked, “What are the best ways to earn money immediately”? Sheesh, dont you folks ever think of anything else?

Well, here’s your ‘Insider tip’ for today. The quickest way to start earning money is to forget about it.

Yes, you read that right. Forget about the money. Concentrate instead on learning the skills you are going to need to build a real, solid, long term, profitable business that is going to let you earn money effortlessly for the rest of your life. Trust me, as weird as it sounds, once you focus on building You.inc (I still love that phrase Mike), once you begin to treat this whole online home business ‘thing’, seriously, the money just comes in. I know it sounds dumb, and if I hadn’t experienced it  myself, I wouldn’t have believed it either.

You can either get a little money now, and have to go out and do whatever it is you did to get it again next week, and the week after that….

or

You can start to learn some skills. Skills that will let you earn some money next week. Once you’ve got those under your belt, go out and learn some more. Then you can earn some more money the following week. Keep learning the skills, and your income keeps growing.

It’s not rocket science. I’m a (ahem) year old grandmother and I’ve managed to learn some pretty complicated stuff.  Well, ok, complicated for me. But it was only when I stopped trying to ‘earn money‘ and focused on learning skills, developing Me.inc, that it all started to fall into place.

You can try the short term, hard work route if you want. I did, and I made some money by doing it.

But once you realise it’s actually much easier and quicker to do it the ‘right’ way, there’s no going back.Related Posts:

If it was a burger you were buying, you’d be clinically obese with every purchase. But it seems that in the world of ’super affiliates’, offering a product simply because it’s good doesn’t cut it. Any product or service they recommend is obviously so much better when combined with their ‘amazing bonus’. Is it?

Surely, if a product is any good, it’s good enough to stand on its own merits. And if it isn’t, why the hell are these ’super affiliates’ recommending it? (Surely, they wouldn’t just be after their affiliate commission, regardless of whether or not you or I actually need the product ) Or maybe they’re using the hype of a brand new launch to get you turned on to how good their own stuff is because they can’t sell it on it’s own?

Ok, I’m a cynic, shoot me. But before you do, think about all the bonuses that you are being offered and ask yourself if they really do ‘add value‘ to what it is you’re buying, or if they’re just adding to the hype.

So, if you’re struggling to compete with these ’super affiliates’, what can you do? The simple answer of course, is to copy them. Why reinvent the wheel folks?

1. Pre-selling. Making sure your visitors are already convinced of the benefits of what it is you’re offering is more than half the battle won. And of course, this is much easier if you do actually own and use the product.
2. Your own site. Instead of linking directly to the product sales page, send your visitors through your own website first. A lot of the super affiliates will buy a domain name for every product they are going to sell and then either put up a pre-sale page or redirect to the main site. If you are going to use ‘redirects’ check out the free software that’s available from Cenay. Absolutely the best link cloaking software I’ve found.
3. Capture pages. Too many affiliate marketers think they don’t need to bother building a list. Wrong. A great capture page can do wonders for your affiliate marketing efforts because once they’ve signed up, they’ve already established a position of trust with you and this makes it easier for you to recommend any number of products to them. (Don’t make the mistake of spamming your list with every latest, greatest, must have piece of crap or you’ll lose them for good).
4. Offer bigger bonuses. This is where it gets harder for the little guy who’s trying to compete in the world of affiliate marketing. But being small can actually be a big advantage if you play it right. Instead of offering some worthless piece of PLR trash that you picked up as a ‘bonus’ from another offer, get personal with your visitors.

• Offer a free training video that walks them through using the product.
• Offer a free one-on-one consultation to answer any questions about using the product.
• Give up some of your commission and offer a price discount. (Not all affiliate programs allow this so do check beforehand).

Super affiliates earn their title for a reason. They put in the work beforehand rather than just sending out some pre-written email that everyone has already seen.  If you want to have any chance of competing with them, you’re going to have to do the same.

Of course, you could just confine your affiliate marketing to a niche that isn’t overrun with super affiliates. Once you get outside of the IM arena you’ll find life as a super affiliate is much easier.Related Posts:

I’m often flummoxed by the lengths to which folks will go to try and ‘cheat’, when if they only expended half as much effort in doing it legally, they could probably achieve the same, (if not better) results and probably in half the time. Maybe it’s a symptom of the world we live in nowadays? Who knows?

The fact is that Google shares pretty much most of her ’secrets’ anyway. You don’t need to hire an expensive SEO consultant to tell you what you should be doing. Google has produced her very own SEO Starter Guide and it’s a breeze to understand, no matter how new or technically challenged you may be. In it, laid bare for the whole world to see, are Google’s ‘Top Ten SEO Tips‘.

1. Make sure each page has it’s own unique title - this lets everyone (including Google) know what the page is about. So page 1, page 2, … doesn’t really count. If you have a page about ‘red cars’ then that is what the title should say. ‘Blue cars’ should have their own page title.
2. Provide a ‘meta description‘ – this just expands on your title. A couple of sentences (160 characters max) summarising the content on the page.
3. Useful ‘urls’ – again, this is like your titles. Page 1 doesn’t tell anybody anything useful, and neither does a url that says ‘mysite.com/somefolder/1239/47.html
4. Easy navigation – exactly what it says. Make your content easy for folks to find or they’ll go looking for it someplace else.
5. Quality Content – make it easy to read and understand, and keep it focused on your chosen keywords (remember the title tag?). If you’ve titled a page ‘red cars’ make sure the content relates to red cars and not blue ones.
6. Anchor Text – when providing a ‘clickable’ link, let your reader know what to expect at the other end. ‘Click Here’ doesn’t help as much as ‘red car prices.’
7. Header tags – make sure you use these correctly. The size of the font helps to tell not only Google, but also your readers what is the really important stuff on the page. The bigger the font, the more weight you are giving to it’s importance.
8. Don’t forget about optimising the images on your site. Yet again, Google advises providing alt text and using descriptive file names instead of just ‘image.jpg’.
9. Robots.txt – I recently had cause to discover just how important this little file is so don’t underestimate it’s importance in helping the search engines identify which parts of your site to crawl, and which parts to leave alone.
10. Using the ‘nofollow‘ attribute. Great if you don’t want to share any of your hard earned page rank. Or if you’re linking to a site that perhaps doesn’t have the best reputation in the world, and you want to preserve your own reputation. However, if that’s the case why are you linking to it in the first place?

So what’s the deal about Google having secrets? Maybe it’s just that some folks think these little steps are too much like hard work, so instead they’ll invest huge amounts of time, energy and money into trying to discover what the real ’secrets’ are. Sheesh. Talk about making life difficult for yourself.

It doesn’t matter what sort of website you’re building. Whether you want a huge authority niche site, or a couple of pages selling your business opportunity or product, if you follow Google’s SEO starter guide, you’ll be well on the way to getting higher search engine listings, while everyone else is still running around trying to figure out the ‘easy way‘.

Whether you like it or not, Google is the one who is probably going to send you visitors (or not) and ask yourself why the hell would she do that if you’re not prepared to play by her rules. If you came into my home, I’d expect you to abide by my rules. And if I came into yours, I’d fully expect to abide by your rules.

Now you can argue till the cows come home about all the so called Google Secrets, but you’re really just wasting time. And that time could be better spent on taking a few basic SEO measures which will boost your rankings (and hence your earnings) a damn site quicker. Related Posts:

And in truth most of it comes down to the same principles anyway. Regardless of which type of business you’re trying to run, you’ll find it much easier if you abide by the principles in Mike’s book. Take it from me, you don’t have to be in MLM to benefit. In fact, buying Magnetic Sponsoring was what got me out of MLM.

So we’ve changed address, we’ve changed the look, we’ve changed the title. But the one thing that won’t change is the committment to providing you with real, no hype, valuable marketing advice that you can use to grow your online business and ultimately, earn more money.

Insiders of any system know that success comes down to taking action. But if you don’t know the right actions to take, or if you’re taking the same actions as the 95% who fail, then it doesn’t matter how much you do, you’ll always fail. I worked a damn sight harder before I got Magnetic Sponsoring than I do now. I put in a whole lot more hours at the computer, and bounced my head off so many brick walls it’s a wonder any buildings around me were left standing at all.

But eventually, I got wise. I hung around with the folks who’d made a success of their businesses, I built relationships with folks who could help me out with the stuff I didn’t know, I built relationships with the folks I could help out with stuff they didn’t know, I studied and learned and tried and failed. Then I went out and did it all again.

And now Insider Marketing Secrets is where you get to learn what works and what doesn’t so you can cut down on your own learning curve. Sure you’ll still have failures. I can’t guarantee instant success for myself, let alone anyone else. But they’ll be minor and you should bear your scars proudly because they’re what prove you actually took action.

Far too many folks think that articles belong only in article directories, but no matter how many directories you may want to submit your article to, you’re still stifling your reach as a marketer. And your goal should always be to reach as many people as possible with your content.

Once you’ve researched your article and know what you’re going to actually write about, the next step is identifying the best keywords to use in your article. Keyword research is the most overlooked part of article marketing. If you take the time to optimise your articles for the most searched keywords relevant to your market, you will be streets ahead of your competition.

The best place to start your keyword research is with the Google Keyword Tool. It’s free, it’s the most accurate, and also one of the simplest. Yes, there are other keyword tools out there, but let’s face it, they all pull their information from Google anyway so you might as well miss out the middle man.

Ideally, you are looking for keywords that have a good number of searches, and the least amount of results. And yes, it’s boring, yes, it takes a little time, but this is precisely why you should do it. Because your competition won’t bother.

After all, who’d want to grab some free backlinks, free traffic, and instant credibility as an expert, just for the sake of writing a few paragraphs of useful, helpful information?

So, in an effort to finally dispel all the myths and excuses you can come up with, I’ve decided to put together a short series on the  article writing basics. If you can’t come up with new articles, new ideas for squidoo lenses, or hubs, or blog posts, or just about anything else you can think of to inform your target market, then you’re really not trying. And ok, so your first couple may take you a couple of hours to get them just right, doing the research, checking your grammar and spelling, submitting to the article directories, etc. But once you get the system down, article marketing is one of the quickest and easiest ways to build your business.

Okay, first tip.

Before you start your article writing career, you need to do some research. What sort of sub topics should you write about? What would be a good headline? What sort of keywords should you be going for when optimising the article?What sort of information should your article contain?

Now, here’s the good news. You don’t have to know everything there is to know about your market because it’s guaranteed to have been researched for you already. And the best place to find all that prior research is over at Amazon.com

Top selling authors have already done the hard work and using them for your article marketing research is one of the best places to start. Follow the little tip in the video below and see just how easy it can be. Whoever said research was ‘hard’ got it totally wrong.  Using Amazon, you can come up with dozens of article ideas in less than 5 minutes. In making the video, I picked probably the hardest market to research on Amazon - Internet Marketing. If you’re in any other niche, you’ll be able to find a helluva lot more.

However, it is probably also one of the hardest for folks to grasp. Not in terms of skills or knowledge required before you can actually implement the secrets Mike teaches. But because you have to actually do some learning and then take the time to go out and apply that learning, and then you have to be prepared to offer up the fruits of all your hard work to others. Magnetic Sponsoring doesn’t offer any ‘instant‘ leads or riches or success. In fact, no ‘instant’ anything.

One of the most frequently asked questions in my inbox, is ‘how quickly can I build my list after I’ve bought Magnetic Sponsoring’? And while I would love to offer up a definite timeframe, it’s not possible. And the reason it’s not possible is because there are too many variables to take into account.

• Are you an action taker? Believe it or not, 90% of folks who whine and complain that ‘this’ doesn’t work or ‘that’ is no good, are folks who have bought something and then tried to sell it by copying the gumph from the sales page. The other 10% are folks who take the time to read it, but then haven’t bothered to actually ‘do the doing‘. Luckily, yours truly passed through both those stages before I got my hands on Magnetic Sponsoring.
• Is your primary concern to make money? The underlying principle of Magnetic Sponsoring is that you must be prepared to ‘give without want‘. If you aren’t prepared to offer up value to your leads they will move on and find someone who is. Now, there is nothing wrong with wanting to make money. But I can vouch from personal experience, when you quit focusing on the money and focus instead on helping other folks to make money, your bank account benefits exponentially.
• Do you know how to create a capture page and tie it in to an auto-responder? If you can’t do this, you can’t build a list. And I’m not talking about a fancy, eye-popping capture page. That’s something you can learn later. But you have to get the basics down. It’s not hard. Prior to buying Magnetic Sponsoring, I had never done anything other than surf Traffic Exchanges, and send out 1000’s of e-mails to Safelists. That was it. That was the sum total of my experience and skill level. Yet within a couple of weeks, I had a capture page and auto-responder set up and was generating my own leads.
• Do you view yourself as a ‘leader‘? If not, how can you expect others to view you that way? And listen up, we’re not talking about being a guru here. But ask yourself what qualities you would want in a leader and then make sure you have them yourself. You don’t have to know everything, you only have to know more than the people you’re trying to attract. And actually, sometimes you don’t even have to know that. The ‘Insider Report‘ is proof of that fact. Every single one of my fellow Insiders knew more than I did, yet I managed to persuade them to give up their own particular ’secret’ from the Magnetic Sponsoring system.
• Are you willing to invest money in You.inc? This really goes back to those who whine and complain. For a lot of folks, their primary concern is how ‘cheap’ they can set up and start earning money. But really ‘cheap’ is relative. Since buying Magnetic Sponsoring, I’ve lost count of how much money I’ve invested in Me.inc but I can tell you the ROI has been off the scale. At an absolute minimum you will need to invest in your own domain and an autoresponder. Nobody is really going to take you seriously otherwise. How many really successful leaders do you know who don’t have them?

List building isn’t hard. It’s just about offering something that you have, to someone else who doesn’t have it but wants it.

However, it was made a whole lot easier when I discovered some very kind soul had already done all the research for me. Yep, the YouTube Report is already done and dusted.

And I have to admit their research is a whole lot more detailed than mine would have been. They conducted detailed surveys with over 2000 YouTube users.

For instance did you know:

• More than 2/3rds of the US population (men and women) over the age of 25, have watched a YouTube Video? Bang goes the idea that it’s only for youngsters!

Some of the questions asked covered the following:

• Why people visit youtube – if you know their ‘why’, you can cater right to it.
• Why people recommend videos to their friends and colleagues – Viral Video on overdrive if you can crack this.
• What makes a user want to watch a video – is it the title, the thumbnail, the description, all of the above?

There’s no doubt that YouTube visitors number in the millions. And knowing how to take advantage of a market that size can’t help but do wonders for your business. I don’t care how big or small it is.

Did you know that 91% of YouTube users have purchased something online. And 63% have done so within the last 3 months? But, here’s where it gets really cool.

35 percent of YouTube users have purchased something online that they saw advertised on YouTube and 30 percent have followed a YouTube link to make a purchase.

There really is far too much information for me to give you here. But if you want to improve your Video Marketing,  I highly recommend you check out the YouTube report. There is some seriously good information on there. And I don’t even think they’re on the ‘Insider’ list. A matter I may have to rectify in the not too distant future.

And a couple of folks who obviously know much more than yours truly are Gideon Shalwick and Yaro Starak. I watched a great killer video over on their blog yesterday. As someone who has seriously neglected the use of video marketing in the past I’m just right now trying to play catchup with those who’ve already benefitted from it. So I am extremely grateful to the guys for their video, plus you can download a pdf of the video script. Remember it’s much easier to learn from others than trying to figure it out on your own. So head on over, watch and learn.

The cool thing about video marketing is that YouTube makes it so easy. Absolutely anyone can upload a video and link to it from absolutely anywhere. And if your video provides useful information (as in the case of Gideon and Yarak’s video), then you’re on a winner. It’s not how fancy it looks. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have the latest, greatest video camera or screen capture software. As with anything related to working online and trying to attract people to you and your business or your products, it comes down to how much value you bring to the folks who see your stuff.

I guarantee if you provide great content, whether in a video or a blog post, an article or an e-book, then people are going to come back for more. And they are going to bring their mates with them. They are going to talk about your content, they are going to share it, they will link to it… and you build up an army of folks who want to know you better because you can help them get where they want to be quicker than they can get there themselves.

But video marketing requires that you are comfortable with making videos. And for a lot of folks, especially newbies, that’s simply not the case. And I include yours truly here although I can hardly still claim newbie status as my excuse.

However, after making a recent discovery it’s become pretty obvious that the reason why video marketing sucks for newbies is down to the software available to them. You have the option of using free video software, which is limiting to say the least, or paying a small fortune for a good software that you can use straight out of the box. See, hefty prices ususally mean steep learning curves.

And when you want to get results quickly, you want something that you can use quickly, without wading through a load of techno mumbo jumbo. You just want to make a video right? How hard can it be?

Pretty hard actually. Unless you know which formats to use, how to set your framerate (?), how to compress the finished movie so the file size is actually small enough for you to upload. Which is why you won’t have seen too many videos from yours truly in the past.

Too hard, too technical, too time consuming, too everything – except quick and easy, which is how I like most of my marketing to be.

But there comes a time when you have to bite the bullet. So after getting into some difficulties with a video I was putting together for a fellow Insider, I sought out an expert on videos and his advice – my software sucked!

Now I admit this was free software. I had made the (imo right) decsion to elect for free video software when first starting out to conserve costs. It wasn’t a necessity. But then I discovered that it was hard, complicated, technical, time consuming and generally a real pain in the rear end to actually make videos. So I had no intention of investing in a paid video software that I figured I would probably never use.

But learning that it was the software at fault and not me personally allowed me to take a whole new outlook on things. And I guess that runs true for most things in life – you get what you pay for right? So off I went in search of simple, easy to use out of the box, plain and simple video software.

And I found it.

Not only did I find it, but I also found they had a much better ‘free’ version than the one I’d used previously. Suddenly, making videos and increasing my own video marketing efforts was no longer something to be afraid of.  My fellow Insider managed to get his video and I’ve used it since to show you exactly how to use Jim’s free capture page generator.

Your simple video marketing advice to take away is this:

• If you’re having trouble creating videos, find a different software!

Seriously, making videos should be as simple as making a capture page using Jim’s generator. If it isn’t, something is wrong. And before you go deciding that maybe video marketing isn’t for you, you need to check out all your options.

And btw, if you want to get a copy of the software I decided was enough to invest in go check it out.  Depending on your starting level you may want to opt for the free version. It’s more than good enough for the basics. But personally, I recommend the paid version. Remember what we already said, “you get what you pay for”.Related Posts:

Adam Taha has published his own findings of just how powerful Social SEO is, when it is properly applied. Social Proof at it’s finest. And the result is that not only is he attracting the attention of new folks to Internet Marketing, but also those ‘big guys’ are taking notice and spreading his value throughout their own network.

Now yes, Adam has a lot of skills, but so do a lot of other folks. I have no doubt that the vast majority of the newbies who come online looking to earn either some extra money or replace their full time income bring with them a lot of skills along with a whole lot of enthusiasm.

But unfortunately skills on their own are’nt always enough. When it comes to marketing yourself online, you need the proof of being recognised by others. Why do you think sales pages are so full of all those testimonials? (Even though the vast majority of them should be taken with a pinch of salt ).

How do you convince someone you have the skills? How do you convince someone you’re worth doing business with? How does the newbie know that you’re the one to follow? How do you get folks to trust you and spread word about you to their friends?

Well, if you are building relationships by providing as much value as Adam is doing, then you don’t need to worry about convincing anyone of anything. Everyone else will simply do it for you. All you have to do is be ready when all those folks come knocking at your door. Magnetic Sponsoring teaches you to forget about the money and focus on the folks. Unfortunately, a lot of people just don’t ‘get it’. They don’t see the value in it because it means they have to think long term, they have to think about value instead of money, they have to actually put in some effort.

The course is due to be released on Wednesday (June 4th), and if you buy it then, you get access to all the ‘live’ training calls and webinars that will be held to teach you the exact steps for building your business, generating leads, earning money and, basically allowing you to build ‘You.inc‘ from the ground up.

Now, here’s the ‘Insider Tip. You need to know that this is a ‘beta’ release. And what that means is that you actually get to influence what goes into the final physical product. It also means you have the opportunity to make Traffic Formula 2 exactly what you want it to be. You’re not buying a course that is full of what someone else thinks you need to know. You actually get to ask questions and get live answers on your questions. That’s some pretty powerful training opportunities for folks starting out in any home business.

As a customer of Mike’s products I know how valuable the orginal Traffic Formula has been to me. But it was a ‘fait accompli’ before I got my hands on it. I never had the chance to actually ask questions and influence what went into it. Not that I can think of anything Mike may have missed. It really did cover everything (and more) that a newbie like me could have wanted. But how much more valuable is something when it’s customised and personalised to your exact requirements?

Now, once all those training calls are finished and the guys are sure that the course covers absolutely everything that is needed, it will then go on sale to the general public as a physical product. But the kicker is that the cost will absolutely skyrocket and with good reason. Why should someone who didn’t contribute to it get access to everything at the same cost as the folks who did? And then (even though I’m sure it will be even more awesome than the original), it will still be a training course that contains what someone else thinks it should.

The fact that the ’someone’ in question happens to be Mike Dillard is a great selling point. But Mike doesn’t know you. The people who take part in this beta release don’t know you. So unless you are prepared to accept that they know better than you what it is that you need to know, you need to get hold of it now.

I’ve had a few folks question why MLM Traffic Formula is being updated and to be honest I find it hard to understand the logic behind that question. Have you seen how much the Internet has changed over the last few months, let alone the last few years since the original Traffic Formula was released?

And yes, the original still has a lot of valuable information that will work, even with the changes that have taken place. And you could still get from A – B on a horse and cart if you wanted to.   But would you really want to?

The ‘final’ version will probably sell for over $1000. If you want to wait and pay that much for someone else’s ideas of what you need that’s fine. You will get your money’s worth and then some.

But I’m amazed at how many folks get it wrong. And just to prove that even the most successful marketers are guilty of it, let’s take an example of a product you can find right here as one of the Insider Resources.

The Ultimate Guide to Wordpress Plugins is technically a very comprehensive, extremely detailed guide to all the various plugins available through Wordpress. Not only does Cenay (one of our very own ‘Insiders‘) know Wordpress inside out, but she has spent years testing and tracking various plugins on a multitude of blogs, for numerous customers, both corporate and personal.

Of course, that type of service comes at a price most folks could never afford. And even if you could, you’d have to stand in line and wait till she could fit you in. Not great in this day and age where we all want what we want and we want it now.

So after being bogged down with more requests than she could handle, she put all the information into The Ultimate Guide. Now those who couldn’t afford her personal services, or who couldn’t wait until she had a free slot would still be able to benefit from her experience and knowledge. All for the sake of a measly $47. Problem solved. Or so Cenay thought.

The trouble is that The Ultimate Guide To Wordpress Plugins isn’t really what Cenay is selling.

What her clients get, (and what you get if you implement what she tells you in the book), is a blog that has the Search Engines crawling all over it and just waiting to pounce so it can feed your content to the masses, and when those masses arrive, they keep coming back, time after time after time.

This blog was built solely on following Cenay’s Wordpress setup video and installing some of the plugins recommended in her book. As a total WordPressPhobic, I had no idea of what I was doing. And when it came to plugins I had even less idea of ‘why’ I was doing it.

But I know Cenay, so I followed her advice.

The result?

This blog was indexed in days, without any effort on my part in creating links for the search engines to follow. When I make a post I get a Google Alert within the hour. Within the first couple of weeks I was ((and still am) ranking on the first page of Google for some very cool keywords.

Over 50% of my traffic comes from the Search Engines for those very same keywords. The rest is made up of returning visitors and people who found it from one of the links I’ve since put in place.

About the only ‘maintenance’ I do to my blog is write new posts. Updating plugins, getting rid of spam, etc takes less than 5 minutes and I do it maybe once a week.

I have a growing band of visitors who come back time after time, who sign up to the list, send e-mails, ask advice, click the links and, ultimately, put money in my bank account. (Thank you, btw )

Now that is what Cenay is in fact selling. But it makes for quite a long title and unfortunately, unless you’re Frank Kern, there’s no way to let folks know that’s what they’re actually buying, without sounding like some over – hyped, get rich quick, gibberish.

Let me just point out btw, in case you think this Guide will make you into an overnight blogging sensation, it won’t!

You do still have to actually write your own content. As far as I know the plugin that writes and posts, honest, orginal, valuable content to your site hasn’t yet been invented.

I hate to be the one to say this Cenay, but you need to look again at what you’re offering. And it isn’t The Ultimate Guide to WordPress Plugins!

And I’m all for cashing in on the benefits of the constant testing and tweaking that the team do in order to increase the conversions for the course. I especially dont mind when he keeps passing on tips and secrets to us mere mortals so we can follow along.

But revealing them to the whole flipping world? On Youtube? Give me a break.

And actually, the ’secret’ isn’t that new, or even secretive (exit popups have been around for a good while). Admittedly not too many of them use video, so no doubt that plays it’s own part.

But the real killer is in what the exit popup offers. You can see it in action here if you’re thinking that this is your chance to see exactly why folks rave about it so much. And regardless of the technology, it’s the offer that is the real secret to increasing conversions. When you not only remove all risk from your potential customer, but also increase the risk to yourself, you can be pretty sure your conversions will go through the roof. Why wouldn’t they? The only one who can possibly lose out is you.

Will those increased conversions end up being freebie seeking time wasters? No doubt a lot of them will. But those who do will be the ones who wouldn’t have made any headway after reading the course anyway, whether they’d paid for it or not.Related Posts:

But that’s all it is. A belief. No matter how big your list is, the only people on there making you money are those who are responsive to what you are selling or interested in joining your business. And the only ones who are going to be responsive and interested are those who think you are worth listening to.

The rest of them probably just signed up to get whatever freebie you were offering as an incentive for them to hand over their e-mail address. If your freebie was good enough, they’ll probably stick around and read a few more of your messages before making a decision as to whether or not to trust your judgement. If it wasn’t, chances are they’re never going to read anything you send.

So what’s the point of keeping them on your list? So you can brag about how big your list is? So you can call yourself a ‘lead magnet’? Seriously, it’s a question you need to ask yourself, especially if you’re just starting out.

Listbuilding Explained

You offer something to someone in return for their contact details.

There, didn’t take long did it?

The more people who take you up on your offer, the bigger your list grows. And of course, you are then able to keep in contact with them via your autoresponder.

Unfortunately, just because they took you up on your offer does not make them a prospective buyer/customer/business partner. That happens over time, not at the signup stage.

It happens as a result of the value you provide in your dealings with them. But if those people on your list aren’t opening and responding to your e-mails, then:

1. You’re not providing them with anything.
2. You’re not building trust and/or credibility.
3. You’re not making any money from them.

And if you’re not doing any of these things, why do you have a list? Why pay for an autoresponder? Why waste your time scouring the Internet for valuable information that you can’t share with anyone? Why waste even more time putting that information into a message that nobody is going to see?

The true secret to listbuilding is making sure that the people on your list are listening to you. You wouldn’t keep bidding on a non performing keyword in your PPC campaign, so don’t waste your time sending messages to people who don’t read them. Get them off your list!

You know opting into someone’s list isn’t a lifelong committment. There is no ’till death us do part’ clause in any of the opt in forms I’ve seen!

People change, they move on, a lot of folks are attracted by the next bright, shiny offer they see and they get too distracted by all the other messages flooding their inbox every day. So it’s nothing personal when they unsubscribe. And the more of them that you can get to unsubscribe, the more targeted and responsive will be the ones you are left with.

Note I’m not recommending you get folks to unsubscribe by spamming them with crap – though that will definitely work!

But a little reminder now and then that they are free to leave, or sending out notices to those who don’t bother checking out the information you provide, and even personally going in and deleting those who haven’t bothered to open any of your e-mails for a while- these are all methods I’ve used and they help ensure that my list remains clean and responsive.

Now, I have had lots of people scoff and outright roll on the floor laughing at my listbuilding ’secret’, but I learned the principle behind it from none other than Mike Dillard himself.

Mike’s mails are one of the few I look forward to receiving in my inbox. I like his style, his sense of humour, his insights into the industry. But I’m often caught most by his ‘get off my list if you’re not interested’ line.  I figure if he’s not afraid to tell people to get lost, then why should anyone else?

It’s a matter of overcoming the scarcity mindset. You’re so worried that you might not be able to replace anyone who leaves your list that you wouldn’t dream of letting any of them go. Pfft! Good way to build a big list, but not so good when it comes to having a list that is targeted and waiting with bated breath for your next mail to hit their inbox.

Those that take an interest in the people on their list, checking and tracking their open rates, click rates, bounce rates…are the ones with the highly targeted lists. And the more targeted your list is, the more money you make.

Why is it that in every other aspect of marketing, the advice is to keep it targeted as tightly as possible, yet in listbuilding it’s assumed that just because someone once entered their e-mail address into an opt in form, they are considered to be a potential source of income for the rest of their life?

Sure, there’s the fact that not everyone is ready to buy as soon as they visit your page so capturing their information is helpful because they might be willing to buy a while down the road. But how far down the road do they have to be before you realise that they are never going to  buy anything from you because they don’t look at anything you show them?

And consider this. If people know they run the very real risk of being deleted from your list simply because they don’t bother opening your messages, how much more valuable does being on your list become? Related Posts:

I really thought this type of hype had long since disappeared. But maybe that’s because as you learn more about the whole ‘working online’, you start moving in different circles and this sort of crap just doesn’t even register anymore.

So I figured it was worthwhile pointing out why you need to avoid this sort of marketing when you’re new and looking for the quickest way to start putting money into your pockets instead of taking it out.

It’s not Free!

• There will always be costs associated with having a website.
• You will have to pay for your domain name.
• You will have to pay for hosting.
• As you haven’t set it up, you will have no idea how to make changes and will have to pay for the privelege of having someone else make them for you.

It’s not Yours!

• You have no control over what content is placed on a site that is already set up.
• Your website will be the same as all the other ‘free’ websites that are being set up for every other newbie who was suckered into signing up.
• Any earnings from the site will be split with the real owners. And if you think their split will be smaller than yours, think again!
• You cannot optimise it for the search engines so you will have to work your butt off to actually get anyone to visit it.

Offering these instant websites is nothing more than a hook to get you to spend your money on the necessary ‘extras’. Extras that line their pockets, not yours!

Think about this. It’s obviously not that hard to create a website if they can be given away so freely. So why not just create your own in the first place? You can create free websites at Weebly or Blinkweb, without knowing anything technical like HTML, or PHP, or any of the other foreign languages that webmasters seem to speak.

Creating free websites is a breeze. And there’s a good reason for that.

Free websites aren’t worth squat compared to sites that have their own domain!

Look at the domain address of the site offering the free setup – you’ll notice it’s not hosted on a shared hosting platform. Oh no – they have their own domain yet they expect you to believe you can make a fortune without having one.

Yes, they are tempting, especially for newbies. Even more so for those who struggle with computers, let alone the intricacies of creating a website, optimising and monetising it, driving traffic to it, and then converting that traffic into customers or leads for your home business.

Keep right away from this type of hype and bullshit. Check out some worthwhile newbie training that will ultimately make you a whole lot more money in a much shorter timescale.Related Posts:

The latest guy taking the principles of Magnetic Sponsoring to heart is one of BetterNetworker’s top guys, Jerry Chen. He has managed to pull off live interviews with some of the biggest names ever, including not only our very own Fernando Ceballos and Jim Yaghi, but also Ann Sieg, Mike Klinger, Tom Bell, Jorge Bueno… the list goes on. There is even word on the street that Mr Dillard himself may be appearing.

I have no idea how he managed to persuade them all to give up their secrets, though I did hear talk of free margeritas, which seems to be the currency of choice for many top gurus. Go figure!

What does Jerry get out of it? Well, he gets to learn the same secrets as everyone else of course. And yeah, you have to opt in to get access to the training, so he’s generating leads that hopefully will continue to respect him long after they’ve finished watching the videos.

But the real secret is the way he is doing it. He could have opted for a quick capture page, free e-book, lots of fancy sales hype, followed up by a zillion e-mails selling you a load of crap.

Instead, he spent months putting together this whole video training with the industry greats. He spent the time (and the money) to make sure that what he was offering was worth way more than the price tag of your e-mail address.

Believe it or not, one of the biggest ‘secrets‘ of Magnetic Sponsoring is the fact that it focuses your attention away from making money. Once you quit focusing on how you can earn more money and start focusing on what’s really important, that’s when you finally “Become The Hunted“.

Now there are a whole bunch of capture/splash/squeeze/landing page generators on the market. I’ve tried a whole bunch of them myself. Unfortunately I could never get anywhere with any of them. And yes, that was probably down to me not knowing a damn thing about anything back when I was trying to run before I knew how to walk.

But even though I can now knock up a capture page quite quickly using Expression Web (follow up to Front Page), I still can’t do it as quickly as using this little baby from Jim.

Bear in mind that Jim has perfected the art of creating landing pages that not only pull in prospects at the drop of a hat, but given his obsession with PPC and the importance of having customised landing pages for each of your keywords, he needs to be able to churn them out pretty quickly.

Which is great for the rest of us. Because he’s already done the hard work. He’s created the templates that literally mean all you have to do is add text. Type into some boxes (even tells you what each box should contain), hit a button, and voila – instant, customised, perfectly formatted capture page, complete with your autoresponder code.

I just tried it out and in 4 minutes I had one created. Four minutes! Unbelievable. Of course, I didn’t bother uploading the code from my autoresponder, or entering my pic and contact details because I was just testing to see if it really was as quick and easy as it looked. But this is an absolute no-brainer for anyone just getting started.

At the minute it says to enter your code from  iContact, and I’m not too sure if you can use other autoresponders with it? Will check with Jim and let you guys know.

One of the reasons I decided to give up making you to opt in to recieve The Insider Report was because I was sick of testing and tweaking the capture page. Lazy I know, but I have a lot on and if you want to sign up, you can do so from here, so the need for a capture page isn’t as big as it was back then.

But I sure wish this had been free when I first started and couldn’t figure out anything unless it was in a Word document.

Go give it a test. When you click for the code, select to ‘open’ instead of save and you can preview it before you save and upload to your server.

Oh, and be sure to bookmark the page so you can go back and create more when you need to.

I confess that due to other committments I’ve only just got around to watching the first video, so missed out on the chance to ask questions. But then, having been an affiliate for a while this first one was more directed towards those who are just starting out with Magnetic Sponsoring though even I took away some very useful stuff.

I was especially pleased to see a couple of my own personal frustrations answered.

1. Where to start after you’ve just signed up – Mike made a point of advising newbies to go through the welcome page in the back office in order to make sure they understood how to use the system correctly.  It’s not about getting an affiliate link and then spamming it all over the place. In fact, he also confirmed that anyone spamming their link will have their account deleted, great news for the rest of us because it saves us having to deal with the negativity generated by the spammers.
2. Why Magnetic Sponsoring doesn’t offer the ability to have your own personal, customised capture page – conversions. Simply put the MS team spend a lot (and I mean a LOT) of time, money and effort in tweaking and testing the system to make sure it provides the best conversion rates. As an individual you couldn’t possibly compete with that level of testing and optimisation. So I guess I’ll stop hankering after this one.  

The one thing I think Mike still doesn’t get is that his system isn’t just great information for Network Marketers. It applies equally well whether your focus is on Internet and/or Affiliate Marketing. There’s a huge market of people out there who are looking to learn how to make money on the Internet. And regardless of which direction they want to go, I honestly believe Magnetic Sponsoring is a great training resource for them.

But what if you’re not a Magnetic Sponsoring Affiliate? And let’s face it. There are probably more of you than there are of us. Well, as far as I can see, if future videos offer the same kind of insights then you’re onto a winner regardless of which affiliate programme you’re into.

• Want to know how to use your programme correctly? Watch the videos.
• Want to know what to do with prospects when they sign up via your affiliate link? Watch the videos.
• Want to know how to monetise the leads you generate? Watch the videos.
• Want to know the best ways to advertise your affiliate link? Watch the videos.

Seriously, there’s some good stuff you can swipe and apply to boost your business regardless of whether you’re a Magnetic Sponsoring Affiliate or not.

Of course, if you’re already into Magnetic Sponsoring, then you’re probably loving some of the upcoming changes Mike talked about. Gotta admit I can’t wait to find out what’s going to happen over at Better Networker. I mean, it’s one helluva resource as it is so how he’s planning on making it better I have no idea.Related Posts:

However, let’s face it, you can’t please all of the people all of the time. And nor should you be trying to. Not if you are trying to attract honest, dedicated home business owners to you and to sign them up to your business.

I make quite a big deal out of building a good solid reputation online. It’s the biggest single ‘aha’ moment when you suddenly realise that Magnetic Sponsoring is not about attracting people to your company, it’s about attracting them to you.

So when the response to my last post was a sudden and totally unexpected slur on my own personal reputation, naturally it made me a little suspicious. After all, it’s a bit of a coincence don’t you think?

I run the story of one man’s fight against Prosper Learning and the same day I am labelled as a scammer over at ComplaintsBoard.com/, not to mention the comments posted. Phew! Smells a bit fishy to me.

Still I have to confess that being stuck with a ‘bad reputation‘ seems to be good for business. Traffic has shot up at my blogs, taking my earnings with it! Surely those who set out to put me down weren’t really trying to help me earn more money? 

Much as I’ve gained immense pleasure from reading some of the garbage posted and am seriously flattered that someone (?) thinks I’m dangerous enough to warrant discrediting in the first place, it is now time to get back to business. Alas, playtime is over. (read: comments are closed)

No matter what sort of business you are running, no matter whether you run it online or offline, your reputation matters. Unfortunately, as you become more successful, you will also become more of a target to those who don’t like what you stand for. Take it as the compliment it’s not meant to be. Related Posts:

The orginal site shown in the video has now been taken down in accordance with the terms of the contract the owner had to sign to get a refund from Prosper Learning. At least the story ends with Prosper Learning getting something right. How much simpler would it have been to simply give the right training and mentoring in the first place?

The Internet levels the playing field for everyone. You don’t need to have a degree, you don’t need to invest a fortune, and you don’t need to wait years before seeing results.

Unfortunately, what you don’t need is still far outweighed by what you do. You cannot simply join a Network Marketing business, or sign up to promote affiliate products, and instantly start raking in the cash. There is a learning curve, and there is most definitely an investment needed. If you think otherwise, you’re in for a rude awakening.

I know. I was that newbie. And trust me, when the lightbulb finally goes off, it’s pretty painful on the whole of your psyche, not just your eyes!

Thankfully, there’s a lot more ‘honesty’ on the Internet these days. But that still leads to a huge problem if you’re a newbie who doesn’t  know where to start. Because now, instead of being inundated with ‘get rich quick’ scams, instead you’re inundated with ‘essential’ knowledge. Where do you start in prioritising which piece of the knowledge puzzle you need to acquire first?

Information overload is a huge problem. And if you’re anything like me, most of the information out there isn’t written with the ‘newbie’ in mind. It’s written as though you already know about ‘keywords’, ‘landing pages’, ‘SEO’, ‘blogging’, ‘branding’, ‘marketing’, ’social bookmarking’, ‘PPC’… how many newbies have ever heard of this stuff?

So you get lost in the maze of information and end up going nowhere fast. Or you buy a training course and then find out you don’t understand the message it’s teaching you because you haven’t yet reached that level of understanding.

A recent buyer of Magnetic Sponsoring was confused as to whether they should now be marketing MS or their primary business? The whole point of Mike’s teaching is that you should be marketing You.inc first and anything else second. But as a newbie, marketing yourself is well nigh impossible. You have nothing of value to offer because you don’t know anything yet.

Which is why you need to start somewhere. And which is why I’ve personally recommended some great starting points in the ‘Newbie Guide‘,  because they are simple enough to get you to the point where you can start marketing You.inc quicker than any other programmes I’ve found. I’ve done the same with the Training Videos.

Don’t be tempted to start at the top. There isn’t a single successful marketer out there who’s made it instantly. When they tell you, they earned $XXXX in a matter of weeks, they simply omit the part where they spent XXXX months or years learning the tricks that allowed them to do so!

Your starting point should always be in building You.inc – increasing your knowledge and expertise and then sharing it with others.Related Posts:

Let’s face it, Mike is Mike. He has never followed the crowd. So following 10,000 folks on Twitter in the first place was never going to be something he was comfortable with. When the whole world is telling you to follow those who follow you, Mike was always going to be the one to step up and say, “why the heck should I”?

The truth is you cannot follow 10,000 or even 1,000 people on Twitter. Anyone who thinks otherwise is just plain daft. Try being in a room with that many people and then consider how you could engage in that many conversations. Not gonna work, not in a zillion years!

The theory is that the more folks you follow, the more chances you have of being heard and getting your message across to more people. But if everyone is following everyone, the chances of your message being heard are zilch. It will get swallowed up in all the noise that everyone is making.

The few who happen to stumble upon it by sheer good luck may not be the ones who are interested in it. They are probably just following you because someone said to follow everyone as that will get you more followers in return.  In all honesty, Twitter is starting to become nothing more than a simplified Traffic Exchange / Safelist.

The TE / Safelist users are not looking for a business to join or a product to buy. They’re using the programme to get credits which they can convert to views for their own website. And the folks who are following everyone on Twitter are doing exactly the same. They’re not following you because theyr’e interested in what you have to say. They are hoping to gain some of your followers which will give them more views to their own Tweets.

Is this what Twitter is supposed to be about? No. It’s not what any of the social networking sites are for. But if folks see it as a way to market themselves and/or their business, then it’s inevitable. Take a look at FB or Myspace. Full of noise and nobody really interested in what anyone else is saying unless they can see a way to get more views to their own profile and hence their own sites.

Personally, I think Mike did the right thing. His initial mistake was in trying to be something he’s not – a follower. Mike being Mike, this won’t make a blind bit of difference to him. In fact, he’ll probably come out of it smelling of roses. There’s a lot to be said for being true to yourself in this business.

Whether Mike has ‘unfollowed’ you, shouldn’t make any difference as to whether you reciprocate by doing the same to him. Are you really going to miss out on what he has to offer, just because he’s not interested in pretending to be your follower?

There’s a whole heap of valuable information given away in the social networking arena. If you’re one of the folks giving it away, you’ll get followed regardless of whether you’re following 10,000 folks or just 10.  Somehow I doubt that Mike will suffer any major consequences for standing up and admitting to being Mike. And perhaps a few more people should consider doing the same?Related Posts:

It’s a fact that if you’re in any form of MLM your chances of getting someone to sign up to your business at the first look is pretty slim. And rightly so. You really don’t want to sign up anyone and everyone, despite what your upline might be telling you! One of the great secrets of Magnetic Sponsoring is that you need to be willing and able to say ‘no’ to people who aren’t right for your business.

So a list is a pretty necessary tool to have. The list is what allows you to choose who you want to work with. It’s your way of weeding out the tire kickers and making sure you devote your time where it’s most needed. Note that doesn’t mean neglecting the ones who don’t sign up right away – you may just need to nurture them a little longer. But you don’t give them the same time, energy and committment that you give to those who are willing to work with you on building a profitable business.

So how do you start building a list of prospects, whether they are prospective customers for your Network Marketing business, or prospective customers for your Internet Marketing products?

To be honest, I haven’t found a great deal of difference in how you go about it. Bear in mind that regardless of what you want from your leads, they all want the same thing from you – an honest solution to their problems. And what they want is waaaay more important than what you want!

Where to Start

Bearing in mind that most folks are looking for solutions, you should only be targeting the people for whom you can provide a solution. Despite the fact that targeting your list building is just plain common sense, it never ceases to amaze me how many people ignore it completely. They put up links to their capture pages (usually some crappy, replicated company page at that) anywhere and everywhere, believing that it’s nothing more than a numbers game.

Get enough visitors to your page and you’ll generate plenty of leads right?

Wrong!

Traffic on it’s own is worthless if it’s the wrong sort of traffic. If you sell spare parts for Ford cars, it doesn’t matter how many Peugot, Renault, Honda… owners see your shop, they ain’t gonna buy!!! Next time you see a hyped up sales page telling you that all you need is enough visitors, stop and think. You need the right sort of visitors. So don’t go wasting your time on the others.

Capture Pages

And while we’re on the subject of capture pages it’s worth bearing in mind that even a poorly designed original will outperform a glossy replicated page nearly every single time. Why?

Because it’s real, because it’s unique, because it brands you and not your MLM. Remember, your goal here is to get people to sign up to your list, not your company’s. Sure in the beginning, if you don’t know how to create a capture page, or you don’t have an autoresponder or a hosting account, then you’re stuck with the replicated affiliate site. But the quicker you dump that in favour of your own, the quicker you’ll start seeing huge results in your list building.

Getting Them There

Getting prospects to your capture page is the easiest part of building your list. Really. There just isn’t any excuse for not knowing how to get killer amounts of traffic these days. You don’t have to be an expert to set up a blog, create a lens, submit articles, participate in forums… and that’s without even thinking about using paid methods.

Why Would They Sign Up

You have something they want. It’s that simple. What you’re offering has to be worth giving up their details for. Which takes us back to the beginning. Providing solutions. If you’re offering a solution to a problem they’ve got, and more importantly if they believe your solution is better than the next guy’s, they’ll hit the subscribe button.

A lot of people fail at making their solution better than the next guy’s. Which is why some folks can build huge lists, and others can’t.

Bear in mind that you can’t build a list (big or small) if you don’t have the right tools. At the very least, you need a hosting account for your capture page and an autoresponder. If you’re unsure where to go for these, check out my personal recommendations.

Unless you’re prepared to spend the time and money to learn how to become a hugely successful Affiliate, then you are not going to earn any great fortunes from it. In truth, no matter which form of marketing you want to go in for, there is a necessary learning curve before you start earning any real money.

Those who think they simply have to find the right product, or the right programme, and the money will start flowing are living in cloud cuckoo land. And it’s a pretty expensive place to live, let me tell you!

When you keep shelling out cash looking for the ‘right’ product/programme to make you rich, it doesn’t take long before you begin to think that it’s a waste of time and every product out there is just another scam. In truth, if this is what you’re doing, then you’re the one scamming yourself.

The fact is that most products available on the Internet, are full of really great information. Information that can help you earn all the extra money you want. But you have to implement what they tell you. And this is where you earn the money, not from selling them on as an affiliate.

If you’re expecting to strike it rich by signing up for a product that promises to show you how to earn extra money, and then, because there’s an affiliate programme associated with that product, you immediately start implementing a promotion campaign instead of studying and applying the teachings first, you are fooling yourself.

And it’s easy to do. We’ve probably all done it when we first started out. A lot of times, the product owners make it seem like that’s the right thing to do. As soon as you’ve signed up, you’re told that you can start earning some extra money by directing others to youraffiliateurl.com and how easy it will be.

Bang goes your focus. Instead of taking the time to read, study and apply what you’ve just bought, you’re back on the treadmill of trying to sell something else – you’ve just signed up to another affiliate product that will make you neither richer or wiser.

Do yourself a favour. Check through all the affiliate products you’ve bought already and have tried to make money from. Now set aside some time and actually go through them and read them. If you’ve bought a product on generating traffic, go put it to use and generate some traffic to your own website instead of to your affiliate site.

If you own Magnetic Sponsoring, and haven’t read it because you’ve been too busy promoting it ( ) go read it right now. Watch your commissions skyrocket once you start to actually implement what Mike teaches you in there!

The more you learn, the more you earn. It really is that simple. If you just applied a tiny fraction of all the stuff you’ve acquired your ability to sign up new people into your business, sell more products, generate more leads, drive more traffic … will ultimately be the key to you earning more money.

None of  The Insiders got to be successful Magnetic Sponsoring affiliates simply by buying the book and then trying to persuade others to do the same! In fact, to quote Mike himself:

…in order to become “magnetic”, you must increase your value to others through education and experience

Now you can head on over and read the threads yourself, but what really strikes home is the importance attached to your name and your reputation.  If you want to build a successful business your reputation is your key asset. Once You.inc is tarnished, getting folks to trust you again, to believe in what you have to say, to even consider ever going into business with you is going to be pretty hard going, if not impossible.

Your name and the reputation that goes with it should be guarded like the Crown Jewels. Building your reputation takes time, losing it doesn’t. How you behave, how you conduct yourself, how you deal with people, what value you bring to others, what solutions you offer… all of this can be wiped out if it turns out that you’re not what you appear to be.

Now Ann Sieg has a pretty good reputation on the Internet. She has built up a huge following and earns considerable amounts of money for her efforts. All credit to her for doing so.

But when you practise one thing and then get your lawyer to send threatening letters to folks who use the same methods, suddenly that reputation is in danger of being wiped out. Words like ‘hypocrisy’ don’t sit well on the shoulders of  ‘leaders’.

I personally didn’t buy into Ann’s system because I didn’t like the marketing tactics. But that’s just me. And as should be obvious to all of you  I opted for Mike Dillard’s system instead. Now that’s because, in my opinion, Mike’s offers a whole lot more value and positivity. Magnetic Sponsoring is about building something up, not knocking it down.

It’s about You, your name, your brand, your value, your worth. And you don’t have to ‘knock’ anyone else in order to be seen as a leader yourself. You just have to make yourself more valuable than them in the eyes of your market. Magnetic Sponsoring teaches you how to do just that. Followers of Ann Sieg might just want to check it out?

I work a lot with newbies. I guess because I’m so new myself. No stories here of struggling for years, living on the breadline, pawning my furniture and at risk of being evicted from my home… Nope, sorry to disappoint those that think you have to come from such a background in order to have actually learned anything worth passing on.

I’d been struggling for about a year before I got my hands on Magnetic Sponsoring. But my struggles were related to the time it was taking, the number of hours I was spending surfing Traffic Exchanges and reading Safelist ads – all so that I could get enough credits in the hope that some other struggling newbie would see whichever latest ‘great thing’ I was promoting and sign up.

Now maybe it was an age thing (ok, so I’m a lot older than most of you guys, but don’t ask cos it’s rude!) but I did actually get it when I read MS. However, I’ve seen far too many who don’t. Which is why I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s not really a ‘newbie’ thing.

Newbies tend to see it as a way to make money instead of seeing it as an actual training manual that they should read and put to use. They think ‘attraction marketing‘ comes from the fact that Magnetic Sponsoring uses some of the most highly converting capture pages that will mean visitors won’t be able to resist signing up and buying the product so that they can make money too.

Or they assume that telling folks, “Hey, I’m a leader, come join my team”, will be enough for them to really be seen as a leader that people will want to be led by.

And I have to admit, the set up of Magnetic Sponsoring (and just about every other training system out there) is designed so that they immediately tell you to go out and start promoting the product, so that you can ‘earn while you learn’. The trouble is, newbies don’t seem to go for the learning as much as they do the earning.

It’s only once you’ve struggled with this jumping from programme to programme and buying every ‘must have’ product out there that you begin to realise (if you’re smart) it doesn’t work and there must be something missing. The enthusiasm and belief in ‘getting rich quick‘,  hasn’t yet turned to frustration and pain.

So the thought of actually taking time out from earning, and instead learning how to become attractive to others, just isn’t in their radar.

And it seems there isn’t an easy way to explain it. Or if there is, I’ve yet to find it. Sure, The Insider Report gives a good breakdown of the different secrets you can pick up, no matter what your level is at the moment. And judging from the e-mails I’ve recieved it goes a long way to helping the newbies understand the power of Me.inc but there are so many newbies who don’t have access to the report and so end up buying the manual, and then not using it in the way it was intended.

Let’s get something straight. Magnetic Sponsoring is so called because it’s based on the principles of attracting people to you, instead of you going out and hunting for them. With that in mind, it stands to reason that you have to become attractive enough for them to actually want to search you out and ask about your business/product/programme.

And what makes you attractive is what you can do for other people. If you can teach them something about how to grow their own business, if you can show them how to create a website, how to get traffic, how to talk to prospects or where to get the best tools for the lowest prices… if you actually have something worthwhile to offer someone, then you’re more likely to have people chasing you looking for the answers they can’t find anywhere else.

But this is the sticking point for newbies. They don’t know how to do any of this stuff and the time taken to learn it, is time they can’t then spend surfing for credits on the Traffic Exchanges and Safelists? So until, they’ve already learned that those actions aren’t going to make them rich, then no amount of training, (even training as good as Magnetic Sponsoring) will get them to move on.

What is it that makes most folks think that because they don’t like the man, or because they don’t agree with his teachings in Magnetic Sponsoring, that such feelings can then be used as the basis for assuming the system itself sucks.

I freely admit to being biased because until I got my own copy of his training manual, I was going nowhere fast, and didn’t even realise it. The timeframe for turning that around was astounding. Within weeks, I was at the top of Google, I had hundreds of leads in my sales funnel, and I was moving forward at a pace that really had to be seen to be believed.

So how come a total unknown grandmother from the UK, with very little computer experience and even less marketing experience or knowledge could ‘become the hunted‘ while folks who have been working in this industry for years were not able to generate the same level of success?

The only difference between those who make Magnetic Sponsoring work, and those who don’t is the amount of action taken. For many, it’s yet another product they can promote via the Traffic Exchanges or the Safelists. Or those who are really savvy might set up a Hub or a Lens? Either way, they simply start posting an affiliate url and think this will make them rich.

But very few people actually take the time to read the damn book. And then go out and put it into practise. Those who take action get success – every time.

And this isn’t something that’s peculiar to the Magnetic Sponsoring Training – this holds true for every training product you buy. If you’ve bought Building on A Budget and haven’t applied it, chances are you think it’s rubbish. Same with BlackBelt Recruiting or Traffic Formula.

Here’s another little secret. It’s not even something that’s peculiar to Mike’s products! Nope. This little known Insider theory of actually taking action on what you read, works on just about every training system/product/course/business no matter who the author is.

Learning is something we do every day. Or it should be. If you’re still making the same mistakes today that you were making last week, or last month then you need to wake up. Nothing and nobody can help you if you don’t learn from your own mistakes. You sure as heck aren’t likely to learn from someone else’s.

Those of us who put together The Insider Report, all actually took information from the Magnetic Sponsoring manual and applied it. You may take away something different than us, your perspective, your starting point, will be different to ours and to everyone else’s who reads the manual. But reading it doesn’t make you an expert. You can read it till the words fall off the page, you won’t earn any money and you certainly won’t have folks chasing you down.

But if you put it into action, if you apply the principles, if you actually put down the book and get to work, then Magnetic Sponsoring (or whichever system you are studying) will bring in the results. It really is that simple.

Now Cenay, is the ultimate WordPress Geek. Ok, she’s a geek in many things, but I have yet to find anyone who knows more about WordPress than she does. Most so called WP experts think if they tell you to download the ‘all in one seo pack’, that’s all you need to have a perfectly optimised blog that will rank highly in the search engines. BS.

Cenay however knows about a few (?) more plugins that can help to increase your traffic by improving not only your blog’s optimisation for the search engines, but also improving it for you and your visitors. And that means you are more likely to spend time updating it because it’s so much easier to do, and your visitors are much more likely to return because they had such a good experience first time around.

Despite WP’s reputation it is still pretty technical for newbies to the online world to master. And the array of plugins, although helpful only serves to confuse you even more. Why do you think this blog was so long in the making?

But I was lucky enough to actually review Cenay’s “Ultimate Guide to Wordpress Plugins“, and so, even before the final version was completed I used it to put together this blog. Now I don’t like to brag, (well, actually I do, lol), but we were indexed pretty darn quick, (despite not putting out any links), and  on the first page of Google for some particularly cool keywords.

As a newbie to WP, and a scared newbie at that, I have to say I found the information in Cenay’s guide to be absolutely first class. Admittedly, at first reading, it was a little heavy going for me, but true to her word, she implemented the tweaks and suggestions I put forward and made it friendly enough for even the newest of newbies to understand.

Am I biased because Cenay is a fellow Insider? No doubt you all think I would be, and maybe I am. But if I am, it’s because I have first hand knowledge of just how amazing this lady is. You don’t… yet.

But I guarantee that by the time you’ve finished reading this guide and putting it to use on your own WordPress blog, you’ll see why I was so keen to have her contribute to The Insider Report.

Sheesh, the nerve!

Surely if I type in ‘Magnetic Sponsoring Review’ into the Google search bar, then I obviously want to be taken directly to the Magnetic Sponsoring capture / sales page right? Even if the ad tells me I’m going to a Magnetic Sponsoring Review site I should surely know that it’s actually redirecting me to the sign up page?

Well actually – no.

Google does not consider advertisers her primary customers. While there may be many thousands of folks advertising on Adwords, there are millions of people using Google as a search engine. And this is where her loyalties lie – don’t expect anything else and you won’t be disappointed.

The only affiliates who cannot use Adwords are those promoting ‘data entry’ programmes. All other affiliates are still able to use Adwords the same as they always have done in the past.  But as with anything else, you have to keep up.

The following is directly from Google’s help pages on using Adwords:

Affiliate Policy

We do not allow data entry affiliates to use AdWords advertising, but all other affiliates may participate in the AdWords program. However, we monitor and do not allow the following:

• Redirect URLs: Ads that contain URLs that automatically redirect to the parent company.
• Bridge Pages: Ads for web pages that act as an intermediary, whose sole purpose is to link or redirect traffic to the parent company.
• Framing: Ads for web pages that replicate the look and feel of a parent site. Your site should not mirror (be similar or nearly identical in appearance to) your parent company’s or any other advertiser’s site.

If you are an affiliate and are paid to send traffic to another site or a distributor, the company you are promoting may also require you to comply with their own terms and conditions.

Please note that we will display only one ad per search query for advertisers sharing the same top-level domain in the display URL. Learn more about when affiliate ads show.

Now that policy hardly seems like Google is trying to kill off affiliate marketers using her advertising services. In fact, it is explaining exactly how to get the most out of using Adwords.

Redirects are usually done by folks who can’t be bothered to get their own hosting account so they buy the domain and then just redirect/mask it.

Bridge pages – haven’t come across this terminology before, but it sounds as though Google is talking about spammy pages set up simply to get a good quality score by using relevant keywords, and then just linking directly to the affiliate site, without any extra added value in between.

Framing – usually done if you don’t know how (or are too lazy) to create your own landing page.

I’ve done the redirects and the framing, still do for a couple of sites, but these are really only for the very new home business owner / affiliate marketer / network marketer. To be truthful, once you have a little experience under your belt you soon realise that the claims of ’sending traffic to this page will make you rich’ are nothing more than an outright lie.

If you had to eat the same food every meal, every day for a few months, you’d soon get sick of it. Same goes for replicated sites – nobody wants to find the same page turning up on their screen, regardless of which ad they click. If you order bacon and eggs, you want bacon and eggs, but if you order eggs and beans you don’t want to still be served up bacon and eggs do you?

The trouble is that a lot of people are lazy – I can understand that – I’m all for the easiest, quickest, shortest possible time frame myself. But usually, the quickest way is to actually just take the time to do something right the first time.

Because I’ve not only read, but also use Magnetic Sponsoring every day, I get a little frustrated when I see folks promoting it but using the very techniques that Mike specifically says not to use. Folks who don’t take the time to actually understand what is being taught, and instead go off half cocked and start using spammy advertising methods in the hope of trying to make some quick money.

All Google is doing is trying to stop Adwords from becoming a spam farm.

“Post your crap here – all spammers welcome – our users don’t mind wading through piles of regurgitated, duplicate content”

If she doesn’t like it on websites, she ain’t going to like it on Adwords is she?

Ok, now that I’m off my soapbox, here’s how easy it is to get round. No redirects, no bridge pages, and no framing.

Hardly rocket science is it? Took me about two hours to create my first website with Weebly, and that included downloading it, removing the Weebly tag from the footer and uploading it to my own domain. And yes, for the newbies out there, this was back in the day when I didn’t know HTML from FTP or PHP (still not too sure on the differences even now, )

If you want to use PPC, check out the video training Mike and Jim have just put together. But please do it bearing in mind Google’s policies.

But for many, having their own home business becomes just that. An addiction. A daily fix that they must have. They can’t do anything without first checking their stats, tweaking the PPC campaigns, reading the e-mails telling them how much they’ve earned, creating a new capture page, adding a new message to the autoresponder….

Now I’m as much for taking action and being focused and committed as the next guy, but when your home business starts to take over your life then maybe you need to step back and take a good look at why you started it in the first place. Surely the whole point was so that you weren’t spending every spare minute of your time ‘working’.

Of course, in the beginning you have to put in extra time and effort to get it up and running. If, like me, you started out with zero skills and knowledge, then you have to put in a whole lot of extra time and effort! But if you’re still working your butt off, 5, 10, 15 years or more down the line, then haven’t you really just swapped one job for another job.

And yeah, I admit, working a home business can hardly be called ‘work’ in the true sense of the word. But the point of starting it was to have some fun and freedom right? Not so you could be racked with worry about whether your latest tweak to your capture page is showing a higher conversion rate.

But how do you know where to draw the line between being ‘addicted‘ and being ‘dedicated‘?

Pretty tough, and to be totally honest, I don’t think you’re going to find the answer here. (shocking isn’t it? )

Truthfully, you do need a certain level of addiction to succeed. If not, then you’re liable to quit, leaving success for those following on behind you.

The lightbulb that went off in my head when I first got hold of Magnetic Sponsoring was that Mike still saw himself as a ‘newbie who was too dumb to quit’, even after he’d figured out art of attracting endless leads! There’s no doubt, Mike was ‘addicted’ to his home business. His whole life revolved around making a success of it. Now I think the guy’s addicted to helping others do the same. Maybe he just has an addictive personality?

Or maybe being addicted to success is a pre-requisite for actually achieving it?

I just had a really cool conversation with one of my fellow ‘Insiders‘ Jim Yaghi (he of the PPC Domination fame) and Jim is a pretty addictive guy too. Not only does he pull in thousands of dollars every month from Google Adwords, all the while generating hundreds of leads every day for free, but he also managed to get a large portion of the Facebook community addicted to a simple little game called Bejewelled!  And that includes yours truly who isn’t usually given to such trivial games of fun.

Trust me, this game is simple – or is it? If it is, then how come nobody has managed to beat Jim’s score yet? Obviously, I’m missing something but Jim has promised to reveal his secret to beating all challengers over on his website. I’m pretty certain he’s using a secret home business tactic , but the guy wasn’t spilling the beans, (even though I flirted like mad). Of course Jim knows I can’t keep a secret so I’d have come posted it here first had he told me.

While the word ‘addiction’ usually conjures up negative thoughts and images, if you’re addicted to being successful, then perhaps it’s time to change the image? Certainly the ‘success addict‘ theory holds true within the Insider group.

Sure they’re important. There is no way I would sit here and tell you otherwise. If you don’t invest in learning the core skills of working online then the chances of you having much success are pretty slim.

However, having learned those key skills it’s what you do with them that counts. And that’s where your reputation comes in, and whether you increase the value of that reputation by sharing your skills with others by building relationships. When your reputation increases, more people want to do business with you.

One of the key factors in Mike Dillard’s Magnetic Sponsoring training is the principle of ‘giving without want‘. Forget about making money, forget about increasing your commissions, or growing your downlines. Concentrate on giving back to others, whether they are interested in your business or not.

Some of you may be thinking that when you’re just starting out, you don’t have a whole lot of skills or knowledge to share. Or that you can only share if you have a huge list to share with.

Wrong!

Take The Insider Report as an example. When I masterminded it, I had no idea what a JV was. I just had what I considered to be a great idea to blow away the misconceptions that were holding folks back from buying Magnetic Sponsoring. Best way to do that would be to give people facts from those who really knew. Those who had taken it and actually used it as opposed to those who had bought it and left it stitting on the shelf gathering dust.

So I asked if anyone was interested in sharing their story. Simple. I didn’t think about JV’s. I didn’t think about making money. I wasn’t even thinking about relationships and reputation. I had no idea how to pull it all together. But the folks who stepped up to the plate to help knew all that stuff.

And because they had actually applied Magnetic Sponsoring, they willingly gave their time and expertise to help out the ‘newbie’ with no thought of what they would get in return. Which was pretty much going to be zilch considering how little I knew!

Of course, it’s been almost a year since that report was put together and we Insiders are now bosom buddies. I’m still the technophobe but there are a whole lot of folks who are even less techie than me. And I get to share with them. Plus I help to keep it real for those who think that they are making it simple when they’re not.

I’ve built relationships with some pretty famous names in the online world. Quietly doing my stuff, helping out when I can, asking for help when it’s needed… and by building relationships with folks, by sharing what I know with people who don’t know it,  my reputation has grown.

When you put together the two R’s there’s a pretty good chance that you are going to make it. Word spreads, you might call it going ‘viral’. But don’t be fooled. It’s just about improving yourself, passing on what you’ve learned, building a reputation for adding value to others lives, which leads them to tell others about you, who then also want to build a relationship with you… and so it goes.

If someone had told me a year ago that I’d be featured in The National Networker simply as a result of following Mike’s teachings about ‘giving without want’, I somehow think I’d have called in a medical professional to take a look at them!

It’s a little easy to get swayed by all the talk and folks like to dress it up in fancy language so that it makes them seem more knowledgeable and important than they really are.   Unfortunately, I’m not clever enough to go that route so I just stick with doing what I do and helping others do the same.

Of course, now that ‘fame’ has found me I may have to smarten up my act up a bit. Maybe a new hairdo?

• I don’t have the time…yeah, that programme on T.V. is a ‘must watch’ and we wouldn’t want you missing out on that party with your mates would we? Seriously, if you’re running a business then you need to treat it as such. Can you imagine if you took time off from an offline job just because you wanted to watch something on the T.V. or go out with your mates? Do you reckon you’d still get paid for those hours that you didn’t show up for work? How long before you found yourself out of that job? There’s always time if something is important enough!
• I don’t know what to write…if you don’t know anything about your business or your niche maybe it’s time you learned? (Insider Tip – there’s a pretty cool little search tool called Google that can tell you all you need to know ) Research isn’t the most glamourous part of being a home business owner. Anyone who says it is has got to be kidding you or trying to sell you on some sweet ‘n’ sexy research tool. Sexy and glamourous it isn’t – Crucial it most definitely is!
• It takes too long to see any results… ah yes, that old chestnut. Well, of course, if you submit one article every couple of months then yeah, it might take you a while before you get any serious traffic back to your site. But nobody is suggesting that Article Marketing is the only form of marketing you should be doing. It’s merely one weapon in what should be a whole arsenal of marketing tools that you are using.

Chances are if you’re using excuses to not do Article Marketing, you’re probably using those same excuses not to do anything else either. And believe me, that’s just what they are – Excuses.

If you spent as much time writing and submitting articles as you do thinking up excuses as to why you can’t do it, you’d probably find you could knock out several articles a week! And next year, when you’re still recieving traffic from those articles, then you can sit back and watch the T.V. or go out with your mates. Who knows? With the increased traffic you could be earning a whole lot more money and watching a brand new, state of the art T.V. with all the bells and whistles you could ever want?

So quit making excuses as to why you can’t find time to do a little article marketing (or anything else). Want a great place to start? Now I admit, as a newbie, I did the very same thing. Anytime I saw anything, I was immediately swayed by the claims that it would make me rich. And of course, every business opportunity and/or product told me that the best way to get rich was to promote that which I’d just signed up for. People would be beating a path to my door (well my affiliate site anyway) to get the chance to make money just like I was going to do.

It never occurred to me that I should actually take a look at the product or the system? They never told me that was part of the deal!

And you may argue that I should have known better and common sense would dictate that you checked something out first. But as a ‘newbie’ you don’t know what you don’t know. And when the first page after signing up tells you to immediately go out and give your affiliate link to every Tom, Dick and Harry you come across, you think that’s what you have to do, so you go do it.

Of course, you never make any money doing this and if you’re smart, you figure out that there must be something missing. But some people don’t seem able to make that connection. And so they just keep on doing it. They buy another product – one with a better sales page or maybe a bigger payout, thinking this will be the one that brings those overnight riches.

Well, here’s the secret tip folks. None of them will make you an overnight success! And that goes for Magnetic Sponsoring too. There isn’t a business, product, e-book, piece of software, or anything else that will make you rich simply by selling it on.

Unless you know ‘how‘ to sell it. Doesn’t matter where you try to sell it either. You can post PayPerClick ads all day, you can surf Traffic Exchanges, you can blast a million e-mails out to Safe-lists. None of them will work unless you know the ‘how’ of each strategy. And in the case of PPC, there’s a good chance you will end up poorer rather than richer.

See the people who get rich by selling and recruiting know how to sell and recruit. They know how to run a PPC campaign so they get higher positions for less money. They know how to create and drive traffic to a good looking, highly converting sales page. They know how to attract potential customers and business partners to them using the power of Social Networking. They know how to research their keywords so that their information comes up at the top of the Search Engines any time someone is looking for what they are selling. They know how to position themselves and their business in front of only the people they want and nobody else.

They didn’t learn these skills overnight. And if you think you can compete with them just by buying a book and then spamming the world saying how great it is, then you need to rethink your strategy.

The beauty of Mike’s manual is that it doesn’t actually tell you to go out and start promoting it. The first thing Mike does is give you the ‘how to‘. After that you can choose to apply that ‘how’ to selling Magnetic Sponsoring, or you use it for your own business.

Either way, it will require more than a couple of nights work. But then most things in life that are worth having generally do.

The Secret of Magnetic Sponsoring was always intended to blow away the hype and misconceptions that surrounded Mike Dillard’s system. As someone who had long been put off investing in the course simply because of preconcieved notions, I wanted to make sure others didn’t make the same mistake I did.

I wasted a whole lot of time ignoring all the ads, the reviews, the testimonials…simply because I wasn’t able to believe that anything surrounded by so much hype wouldn’t turn out to be yet more of the same old BS that is constantly paraded on the Internet.

Putting together the Insider Report, was only ever meant to be the first step in hopefully teaching other hardened and frustrated ‘newbies’ like myself, that not all that glitters is a waste of time and money.

But even after discovering that this stuff actually worked, the ‘newbie’ in me still managed to put off taking my planned actions.

So I’m ashamed to say that my first post is to apologise to you for keeping this ’secret’ for so long.  However, let me make it up to you with this promise.
