I’m going to keep this pretty short. Partly because I’m afraid if I don’t I may go off on a rant that never ends.  And partly because I’m willing to be proven wrong. In fact, I’m hoping and praying someone will do just that. So feel free to put me right if you disagree.

I’ve been pretty busy lately with various bits of stuff, some of it related to working online, and a lot of it to do with personal family issues. The upshot is that I haven’t been logging in to the BetterNetworker community as much as I used to.

Now that I’ve finally got round to logging in there today, I somehow don’t think I’ll be going back in  a hurry.

I can’t begin to tell you lot what a disappointment it was. This community came out of the Magnetic Sponsoring community. that community was based on Mike’s system and everyone who was a part of it benefitted hugely. The members all believed in the principle of ‘giving without want’, and what little spam there was soon got shot down and overshadowed by the tremendous amount of value and support that was so evident between everyone.

I made friends there (my fellow Insiders :) ) that I still hang out with today. I learned some of my most valuable lessons there. And, of course, I did my first JV there, with some of the more well known and well loved members.

Today, BetterNetworker is nothing like that. Instead of posts offering valuable advice, or asking questions, it’s just a load of crappy articles that people are posting in order to look as though they’re contributing to the forum when all they’re really doing is contributing to their post count.

This isn’t Magnetic Sponsoring at work. And yes, it’s a free forum, (for the moment. not too sure if that’s going to last) but does that mean you should have to spend more time searching for something that’s really useful than you do actually reading that something once you’ve found it?

Sorry, but looking at most of the networkers in there today (not including the very few genuine ones still there), if they’re the ‘better’ ones of the bunch, I dread to think how bad everyone else must be!

And before you all start beating on me and saying I should be in there practising what I preach and helping these folks understand what exactly it is that makes someone a better networker in the first place, I already explained the reason why I haven’t been in there lately. Now that I have, I don’t have the inclination to go back.
