You offer people something they want (useful information on a topic they're interested in) in return for something you want (their e-mail address). There are loads of tutorials out there. Most of them full of BS, a lot of them full of fluff, and a couple that are worth taking the time to go through. In all honesty, the only way to become an 'expert' in anything is to get out there and do it. Start offering valuable content, get a name for yourself as someone interested in helping others, and you'll be amazed how quickly folks will want to sign up to your list.
