Automated Lead Generation for Your MLM Business

If you’re just starting out in Network Marketing, the idea of automating your lead generation process probably sounds pretty good. After all, presumably you’re looking to quit your job, not start another one working from home. And even a single MLM business lead can be worth thousands of bucks if they go on to build a big business of their own under you.

The great thing about the Internet is that you now have access to tools and resources that allow you to automate just about anything. Generating leads has probably never been easier, as long as you know where to look and what to avoid.

The basic process is pretty simple:

  • Decide on your target market
  • Set up your capture page
  • Drive traffic to your page

What could be easier?

So how come so many folks still think they have to go out and buy leads, or worse still, resort to spamming all over the place?

It’s not like there’s even a huge startup cost involved in generating your own leads. Buy a domain, and pay for hosting and an autoresponder account. Less than $30 and you’re set.

If you’ve got more to spend, (usually a whole lot more!) you can pay someone to design and build the capture page for you, maybe even write your follow up e-mails, but with the amount of free resources available you can easily set it up yourself.

And if you give it slightly more than a moment’s thought, you’ll realise the DIY method is actually much better in the long term.

Why?

  1. Once you know how to do it, you can repeat the process as often as you like.
  2. You never have to rely on someone else who just may let you down at the last minute.
  3. When you know how to do it think how much easier it will be for you to train your downline to do the same thing.
  4. As you teach your downline to automate their own lead generation, they can teach their downline. So your whole business will grow exponentially.

You will not only generate more leads if you learn the steps yourself, but a new MLM business lead is much more likely to sign up with someone who can teach them how to duplicate the lead generation process themselves.

There is no point in telling someone who has just started out that they need to go spend several thousand dollars on website designers, copywriters, advertising, marketing….they’ll run a mile. Unless of course, your target market happens to be very rich to start with? In which case, why the heck are they looking for a home based business?

So where do you start?

Before you begin, you need to buy a domain ( NameCheap.com is one of the best), and set up a webhosting account and an autoresponder account.

Webhosting services come in all shapes and sizes. Don’t assume that the more expensive they are, the more they offer. A lot will bedazzle you with bells and whistles you don’t need, especially when you’re just starting out.

Autoresponders are one of the key critical tools for your business. Pick the absolute best you can afford. Don’t be tempted to skimp and opt for a cheap service that brands you as unprofessional and not worthy of doing business with.  Most come with a free trial, so be sure to use it and take advantage of that time to really get to know how to set it up properly.

Once you’ve done the background setup, it’s time to move on to creating your capture page. For those who think this is hard, think again. My first capture page was created with Weebly.com! And it pulled in over 300 leads before I got round to putting up something more professional!

You are so blessed to be starting out now because fellow Insider Jim Yaghi has opened up his own capture page generator which is not only even easier than Weebly, but gives a much more professional looking page.

Don’t worry too much about fonts, colours, graphics at this stage. The important thing is to get the capture page up and running so you can start generating leads. You can always test and tweak later.

Start sending traffic to your site and collecting e-mails from folks who are interested in what you have to say. Unless you’ve got money to burn, or are already experienced with PPC, I don’t recommend you choose it as your primary traffic driving method. Start off with forums, blogs, social networks, free classifieds, etc.

And that’s pretty much the basics covered. The visitor comes to your capture page. Assuming you’ve targeted it correctly, they opt in and your autoresponder sends out the messages. All on automatic pilot. Once it’s set up you don’t have to worry about it too much. Testing and tweaking will result in higher conversions, but even ugly looking capture pages, with pretty bad offers will still get you leads.

If you want in-depth, step by step, tactics of generating leads, then you might want to consider investing in MLM Traffic Formula. But be warned. It’s not for the faint hearted. There’s a whole lot of material in the course and if you’re not going to put it to use, don’t bother wasting your time or your money.
